Wow, that’s 1.5 hours of my life I’ll never get back. I’ll admit they were very busy, but isn’t that what they should be geared up for when they’re located at the bottom of the main lift of Falls Creek? I honestly don’t remember a worse dining experience.
After waiting 20 minutes in line and being given a table for 3 (we were 4 people), I knew we’d have to wait. But to watch literally every table around mine and my kids have their orders taken, drinks and food brought and consumed and for people who arrived after us to leave before our food even arrived, was quite frankly unacceptable.
I was hoping my experience was an anomaly, but seeing the reviews here apparently it’s not.
Our order was never actually taken - I had to go to the counter to ask for service.
Our drinks never arrived - I had to ask (beg) for our drinks while everyone around us was getting theirs.
The open kitchen meant I could see that our food order wasn’t submitted and hadn’t even started to be cooked, while all the above tables around us were served, finishing their food and leaving.
After an hour of waiting, asking (begging) for our food, a red head girl told ME off, as if I was the problem (I don’t appreciate being treated unfairly then gaslit when I draw attention to it). I asked the girl her name, but she wouldn’t tell me. Another girl told me I was being “mean” and said they “can’t serve people who are mean”. I asked her what specifically I had said that was “mean”, she just stared at me blankly with a fake smile and then said it was “the way I looked”. Can you imagine if I’d have commented on the way she looked!? Seriously?!
A one point, I was told our food would be 6 minutes, after 10 minutes I started asking again what was happening, only to be met with more inane excuses.
Eventually, once 8 tables around us of 2-10 people had been served and left and we’d been sitting there for 1.25 hours, our food arrived. It’s was pretty basic and definitely not worth the money (even with the 20% discount they gave me as a weak apology).
At the end of the ordeal, I asked to speak to the manager. They told me she wasn’t available, so I asked if she’d be available if I refused to pay. She then magically appeared. Her name was Sophie. She seemed nice and told me that we had simply fallen through the cracks. Sorry, but that’s not my fault and not ok.
Sophie also informed me that she’d told her staff not to serve customers if they felt “uncomfortable”. She should probably have explained to them that giving people awful service and then blaming the customer for being aggrieved (definitely not rude at any point), doesn't qualify for making them “uncomfortable”.
All up, I won’t be back for another episode of nastiness and don’t recommend this place. The staff are inexperienced, woke and unable to cope. The food is well below average for the price. It’s such a shame as there’s so much potential here and with proper management and decent staff, it could be a...

This cafe has now let us down twice in two years—and both times we gave them the benefit of the doubt. Big mistake. Both times they couldn’t even get the basics right.
The first time, I visited in the morning and asked for a gluten-free toastie, as clearly stated on their menu. Nope—no gluten-free bread. So I asked for their gluten-free banana bread instead—also on the menu. Surprise: they didn’t have that either. Disappointing, but we figured maybe it was just a bad day.
Fast forward to today—same pathetic story. Still no gluten-free banana bread, still advertising it. Asked for almond milk for my coffee—nope, none. Asked for soy milk—they weren’t even sure if they had that. It’s a joke. I told them I was going elsewhere because they clearly can’t cater to dietary needs or even keep their basic menu items in stock. And to top it all off? After waiting for ten minutes in front of the coffee machine, we found out they had also cancelled my fiancé’s coffee order without saying a word. The staff had no common sense, you would think to yourself as to why a customer was still waiting in front of them.
They’ve got a big sign encouraging customers with allergies to speak to staff—what’s the point if they offer zero alternatives and clearly don’t care to stock them? It’s misleading, lazy, and honestly unacceptable.
If you have allergies or dietary restrictions, stay far away from this place. And even if you don’t, just save yourself the hassle and get your food and coffee literally anywhere else. The only thing this place is good for is wasting your time. The heaters and chairs are nice—too bad the rest...
Read moreI wish I could give NEGATIVE 5 stars. 10mins queue up + 50 mins wait for the coffee , it’s one hour waiting time on my ski day. Staffs were really really really RUDE. It’s the worst customer service ever in my life. I hope other customers don’t experience this nightmare as me.
It’s supposed to be my happy ski day with a nice coffee, it turned to the RUDE STAFF ruined my day.
We are a group of five, 2 kids and 3 adults, queued up 10mins and paid for coffee and cake. They didn’t have a table to fit all of us, I asked the cashier lady if my two kids could sit on the table of 2 eating the cake, 3 adults standing up to wait for the coffee. Cashier lady agreed.
Later on, another waitress came and said my kids could not sit on this table as we are takeaway coffee, if we need a table we should queue up again. Excuses me??? She embarrassed us, like we didn’t queue up and sat on a table which didn’t belong to us. I asked her to talk to cashier lady. This waitress continued her rude attitude and said “we could not serve you “. I asked for a refund of coffee as she refused to serve us. She refused to refund and we waited for 50 mins for our coffee.
It’s busy because it’s the best location,...
