Located at the harbour opposite ferry terminal to Rottness Island, this is a good place to see for a change as its remind you of old town building but it is Not as vibrant as advertised. It is not exactly the best waterside market as it's Quite debilitated/old. As this place is located in historical warehouse building on Victoria Quay, we can only hope to see more effort in improving the whole place (especially the stalls inside the market) as tourist spot. This place operates friday, weekends & public holidays. The stalls offer souvenirs, gifts, handicrafts, collectables, clothes and more. However, as you walk further inside the building, only few shops are opened. Food outlets are not many to choose from. The whole area is rather lacking in colour, energy, and it places you in a twilight zone in between yesterday and today. It's a pity, for a place so historical like this one, hopefully more will be done. For most merchandise and food, Prices are not exactly cheap here. Food taste, presentation, servings are just alright. Limited in varieties too. But still, this place is a...

Where once there was a hustle and bustle of people walking through the strange quirky and fascinating variety of little stalls, Now that has all gone, only a hand full of stalls with not very much to offer remain, The food court was once a heaven for a Variety of tastes and smells, now it is a shadow of its former self, dull and no longer exciting, The multitude of different stalls covering just about every need and want, are all gone, The stalls that remain are few and limited variety, If you want cheap gifts Aussin are your only choice there now, they have pushed the other gift stalls out, The E sheds are full of empty and closed off areas now, Parking has become easy due to the cost, the lack of visitors, and the Jack booted parking officers on patrol there, they remind you of the dark days of 1939 to 1945. Oh Dear me E sheds, what has become of you? It will be a long time till we as a family...

As a first time tourist to Perth the Freemantle Market and E Shed Market were put on my to do list. The E Shed is worth visiting but not as a destination on its own. Luckily there is sufficient other tourist atteactions nearby in Freemantle that draw you to the area. Many stores are empty with msny antique / nick nac shops and a lot of Aussie Tourist shops appealing to the Asian market. Budget about 40-50 minutes to walk thru the entirety of the market and you have had a good look. Bit of a food hall in the market which provides some diversity of good which is nicely priced. The Chinese Food stall for a $17.90 buffet serve yourself is great food and very tasty. This little gem could hold its own most places. Tack the E Shed onto your Freemantle visit but dont hold high expectations. Stay well and...

The E-Shed Markets, on Freo's Harbour, has interesting but somewhat limited stalls with food, clothing, souvenirs, gifts, crafts and artifacts on sale and also a number of eateries for breakfast, brunch or lunch, or if you prefer just a cold drink or coffee while listening to live entertainment, when it's on. Overall the place looks a bit untidy, unclean and in need of some maintenance, perhaps better still, a good make-over. I'd have to say, the E-Shed Market is somewhat of a disappointment. The Fremantle Market on Market Street is by far a better choice.
