Was in Currumbin for about a week - Perfect spot for a home base as we traveled up and down the coast a bit. Would walk on the beach and go for a swim early in the morning, go to some of the parks and attractions during the day, and come back to watch Big Bash Cricket and drink in the evening! Warm water and good surf here, and the beach wasn't overly busy either.
Actually spent New Year's Eve 2017 lying on this beach. One of the best nights honestly, we just lay there looking at the stars, drinking beers, and listening to music (not to mention the waves!).
Hit a few of the cafes along the beach, all very nice. Also went for dinner at the Vikings Surf Club one night. Had some gigantic seafood platter (and a few drinks of course) which wasn't bad.
