Fresh, modern Italian cuisine and superb service is what it's all about. Everything we ordered was amazing. Update: August 2023 week day birthday dinner: Thank you to Nicole and the Irish gent for wonderful service again, seating us at our favourite spot with a view, this time we chose all new food to try, everything was amazing, compliments to the Chef. Staff know the menu, are friendly and fun. Made sure we were comfortable. Thank you guys 😊 really made the birthday girls' night. This is our new favourite place to catch up or special occasions. We had a reservation, and it will be confirmed via text. The host told us we had two hours. We were shown to our table on the balcony, upstairs with stunning views overlooking the beach. We ordered entrees and mains, wonderful service, and our waitress let us know portion sizes, which helped us decide what we could share. Oysters were incredible. The pizza bases are light and topped with the perfect amount. Plenty to choose from on the beverage menu. We decided on cocktails. I recommend'Rise of the Don'. Nice and refreshing mint and watermelon with grapefruit. 🍹we didn't need two hours, as our service was fantastic, food and drinks came out promptly. Didn't ever feel rushed at all. The staff really are amazing. There was a mix of families with prams, couples, and large tables. Children's/Bambino menu available. Parking is across the road beach side, it gets very busy along there at peak times between 5pm and 6pm, I'd suggest leaving a bit early to allow time for parking, especially during weekends school holidays.

We recently had our small wedding on the Mezzanine level at Tommy’s & honestly, we can’t rate Tommy’s highly enough. We were SO impressed, and so were our guests. Multiple of our family and friends had only positive things to say about the entire evening. - The space was intimate - which was exactly what we wanted. We didn’t need both levels of the venue, but if you had a larger group you could definitely book the entire space & it would be stunning. - The views are unmatched. The verandah was perfect for mingling with guests over cocktails pre-dinner! - The food was INCREDIBLE. And there was SO MUCH of it. Which is unheard of at a wedding most of the time. The set menu that Tommy’s put together is incredibly generous, and has a large variety of items from the regular menu - we thought the pastas were all stand outs. - The Tommy’s staff were truly wonderful. So helpful, kind & hardworking - you could tell they just wanted us to have the best night, and so much effort was made to make it happen. We are so grateful. We would do it all again at Tommy’s if we could & we couldn’t be happier with our decision to have our wedding reception there - it was such a special night!

We had a booking for lunch. We were seated out the front where one of our party of three was getting wet from the rain. We had to ask to move. I felt our comfort was not concerning to the waitstaff. They seemed happy to have us there when they could clearly see we were getting wet. I would’ve thought that if you’d booked two weeks beforehand you would have a reasonable table. We were offered the ONLY other table available that was adjacent to the kitchen on the way to the toilets, and we had to be gone in an hour and a half as they would need the table. We had Risotto(luke warm and very frugal portion), Prawn Fettuccine( frozen prawns) and Potato Pizza( the best of the lot). With a mocktail each, we paid $150.00. Tommy’s was recommended to us and we travelled 80k’s to get there for a Birthday celebration. Maybe it was an off day, maybe our expectations were too high, but in all, Tommy’s didn’t deliver the Italian welcome and generosity of hospitality that I’d built up to experience there.

I was really excited to visit this restaurant, but it was the worst restaurant my partner and I have ever been to, and we go out a lot for dinner. The food and service were not there, it was a little embarrassing.

When we sat down my partner and I immediately noticed our arms stuck to the table which hadn’t been cleaned.

The staff were quick to start with, offering us water and drinks.

We started by ordering the Pizza fritta basket and prosciutto for it, as well as the Fried smoked mozzarella.

The Fried smoked mozzarella was so oily we didn't touch that at all, it also had a very weird taste.

The Pizza fritta basket dough was uncooked, and after eating the prosciutto we both felt sick, it didn't taste right.

When we sat down the waitress asked if we had any dietary requirements, my partner is highly allergic to seafood and would said she will note that on the mains as the rump has pippies. For mains, we ordered the Paccheri ragu, 9+ wagyu, gremolata crumbs and the 300g Wagyu rump cap, pippies, tarragon butter.

The table next to us was a couple and they had sat down halfway into our service, they received both there Antipasti and mains before us, we got there at 6:30 pm and it was now 7:50 pm the couple next to us had left and we were still waiting for our mains, I kept looking at the waitress, she then came over and said your food will be another 20 minutes is that ok with no sorry or anything. It should not take this long for 2 mains.

We then received the mains 30 minutes after, I was shocked and angry to see pippies on my partner's rump, especially after they have said she had noted the allergy to seafood and would deal with it, by that stage my partner was so over the restaurant and just waited to leave, he didn't touch his food at all. I had a few bites and let me tell you the wagyu rump cap was the worst cap I have ever had, it tasted so cheap. It was also cold which is weird as it just came out of the kitchen.

I then tried my meal, the Paccheri ragu, 9+ wagyu, gremolata crumbs, it was so cold! I was going to ask the waitress to heat it up but after waiting that long for our food, I really didn't want to wait anymore, the service was horrible. The ragu was bland, cold, and dry. It was the worst ragu and there was hardly any meat.

We then got up to leave, we stood at the counter to pay upstairs and no one served us, we then were told our table number and to go pay downstairs. We walked downstairs and the waitress that served us rushed downstairs and asked if we wanted all our food taken away my partner said no and I said no the food was horrible, not good at all. I got no response, and we then paid and walked out.

I will not be recommending this restaurant to any friends, family or business associates. It was below 1 star which is a shame as I had high hopes going.

We also felt so sick the day after and were vomiting that night and in the morning, which we think is from...

I went To Tommy's with my partner expecting a nice atmosphere and good food. Well we were put outside the kitchen next to the toilet on the smallest slated table with the most uncomfortable chairs ever. Very noisy and they simply should not be seating people there as that's not fine dinning its a joke. Entree was beef carpaccio which my partner tasted and said she wouldn't eat any more so I ate it. No flavor at all. It was like a squished slab of mince on a plate. Seriously? I ordered the prawn pastor with chili. It was terrible to look at and tasted of nothing but salt. I sent it back and ordered the calamari. That was $26 for a very small portion of very over cooked rubber so I had to also order a $13 rocket salad. The salad had zero dressing and was covered with extremely salty parmesan cheese so once again all I could taste was salt. My partner had the lamb ragu which did have a good flavor to the meat but once again the meal was to salty as there was way to much cheese added. To be clear I like salt but it should simply add flavor to food not dominate it. The service was good and the staff were lovely except there was a bit of confusion as to where to go when we arrived as there is no sign stating to wait here to be seated just a very busy register. We went home very disappointed after spending close to $200 for a very very ordinary meal in a very noisy busy restaurant outside the toilet and kitchen. About two hours later I got really bad stomach pains then proceed to throw up for the next two hours due to food poisoning. I was washed out the whole next day and had only had 3 wines. Defiantly food poisoning for sure. I will not ever eat there again and this is the first review I have ever left so I'm not complaining I just think it should be said. I would expect seasoned chefs to be able to cook great food but sadly this is not the case at Tommy's. It gets a bit fat zero. And to add to the above no response from the anyone as of yet. I suppose what could they say? "Our food is salty...

New Years Disaster. Before I get into my review, I will say that I do know that there is a severe lack of hospitality staff on the GC at the moment. Saying that, I do believe that Tommys Italian just bit off too much for them to chew for New Years. We were the last of four seatings of the day. We booked for the 8pm seating and we texted late that afternoon that our booking had changed to 8.30pm to allow for table changeovers (fair enough). We arrived 15min early and asked to sit at the bar, were told no (again, not great service, but fair enough since we were early). 8.30pm came and we asked if our table was ready-it was not! Us and all the other customers for the 8.30pm service stood outside for about 45mins, with no acknowledgement, for our tables. Finally seated around 9.15pm. No food arrived until 09.40pm. It was a bowl of heirloom tomatoes. It was ages until we received anything else. Food then began to dribble to our table. It would have been nice to have the dishes served together (i.e all the anti pasta together, all the secondi together etc), but no we ate one plate at a time. After hearing a lot of hype about the food, unfortunately it just fell short and was just not good enough. They then ran out of dessert. This I found very strange considering it was a ticketed event and they would have known exactly how many people were coming. Our bill was handed to us about 5 mins before midnight and music turned off, so really no atmosphere at all for midnight. Very disappointing evening. I am not sure how the chef could have gone so wrong with it all as a set menu is really rather easy to prep for as everyone eats the same thing (except for the few dietary...
