Early ride up the bike way from Coolangatta to Currumbin. Always let the universe find breakfast spots and rode past an inviting café Kinship. Found a table inside in the shade. The place had a relaxed vibe and always great to be in a café where everyone seems happy and friendly. Simple menu but easy to choose from. Coffees came quickly and, wow, I tasted mine and waited for my wife to taste hers. “That is the best coffee I have had in a long time” she said and it was exactly what I thought when I tasted mine.
Food was not quick but I understood why as each meal was a masterpiece.
My wife wanted hard fried egg on toast, arrived as perfect. I had smashed avocado, (generous serve and well presented), and added mushrooms that I would recommend doing. Beautifully cooked down large portobello’s well-seasoned and included herbs. The staff were friendly, and we were recharged for the bike ride back to Coolangatta. Read moreI visited the cafe this morning and unfortunately had a really unpleasant experience. The young woman at the counter was very dismissive — she barely looked at me, didn’t seem interested in listening, and her tone came across as quite rude.
It wasn’t just me who felt uncomfortable — everyone I was with noticed it too. It’s really disappointing to be treated that way, especially in a such s beautiful location.

Our coffees were delicious, but we both agreed that the Bacon & Egg Rolls we both ate, were probably one of the best we have ever eaten.
