Overall the night markets have improved, there's a lot more markets and variety. Also a lot busier in general while still reasonable wait times for food.
Unfortunately I had a pretty bad experience at one of the Dreamworld run stalls. Ordered a plate of Brisket and pulled pork with Mac and cheese. Sounded good, unfortunately it seems the smoker off to the side is just for show, as while waiting for my food I watched the staff open bags of product and poor into warmers. And then once I recieved my meal the pulled port was cold. And to be honest the whole meal. Looked pretty horrible, like it had sat as left overs for a few days.
The staff where friendly and provided a refund without issue, I'd rather not risk food poisoning.
I then went to one of the external stall providers where I got a very good plate of brisket that was clearly cooked and cut very recently.
Also got a desert from one of the external providers and had no issues.
I think if you stay away from the Dramworld run stalls, you will have...
Read moreOrdered some dumplings which were ok. The staff at the food truck were super nice but you could tell it was frozen ones just heated up and drenched in sauce so it was a little soggy. I was hungry so I wasn’t complaining so much lol.
The atmosphere is ok, a bit dead with some live music and the stalls are so spread out it’s kind of a weird set up. They have a playground/play area for kids which appeals to families and can be something to fill in a Friday or Saturday night but the food is pretty ordinary.
For dessert husband tried the bubbo dessert. We ordered the Nutella one and found only a drizzle of Nutella, like come on a bit stingy. I tried the Dutch pancakes and they were pretty good.
Overall pretty underwhelming experience if you have nothing else to do on the weekend but want to take the kids out somewhere. This is no way near the calibre of Miami Marketta, it’s like a sad version. Honest opinion and not...
Read moreI come here almost every weekend, and it's the perfect spot for a date night, family hangout or a catch up with friends. Different from your usual same-old same-old restaurants down the road. There's always a variety of different food trucks, but I stick to my faves... Your Ultimate Wingman and House of Poffertjes when they're there👌. I love how there are different themes on different weekends like with the old school cars or the 90s, the Cosplay weekend was fun seeing everyone dressed up. Most weekends they have a fire juggler and always have live music which I appreciate. I have little ones and it's so good to be able to let them burn off energy in the ball pit or if they want to wind down they have a movie on near the ball pit where the seating/stage is. When it rains it's definitely quieter but I'll still come and support these guys. I feel it's well organised so well done to the Dreamworld night...
