I came here with my family we had 9 people wanting to come and eat burgers and have some beers. This is fine we knew we'd have to wait but between 4 people serving they couldn't decide where they wanted to put us and just under an hour later I'm still standing out the front waiting to get a table.
Which would be fine if people were still eating but since they have changed their mind on where to put us twice now we've missed out on tables.
This is because they can't tell people in the line behind us to wait they're bloody turn. Instead the lady behind winged and got her and her partner a seat at out table.
On top of that the girls kept telling me it'll be a 5 to 10 minute wait when no one the the tables had even received their burgers. Don't lie to your customers when they can see it'll take longer than that, I'm not an idiot.
So standing here hungry I feel extremely dissatisfied with the customer service, they may be on the list for the top 10 burgers but I wouldn't rate them in my top 100 for organisation and believe me you can look at the amount of reviews I've done.
After the whole ordeal of waiting I finally get a seat and I feel it's now okay to be highly critical of this place.
I want to start with the drinks. They didn't know what beers they had left on tap so they took our order but then came back and said I had to change the Golden ales I had ordered. On top of this the 3 Cokes that I ordered were flat which defeats the purpose of ordering "carbonated" soft drink.
Out of everyone here one of the waiters came and told me that we won't be getting pulled pork on the burger that I ordered because they were out. When I was ordering this I saw the waiter come over and tell the waitress that they were out and she didn't inform me. He said that my price would be reduced on the burger but now I guess the burger that got voted number 9 in Australia is going to be less then it's hyped up to be and I haven't even take a bite yet.
Now after 40 minutes of waiting drinking my drink the waitress comes over and puts 3 serviettes on the table and walks off. All I can now say is WTF?
We then ask the waitress how long it'll take and she goes and asks the kitchen, she comes back and tells me it'll be 5 minutes. I start my timer on my phone to see how long it'll take, I just want to say this cafe must exist near an event horizon of a black hole because it took over 10 minutes.
Finally to the "triple loco" the burger that got rated number 9. It was tall and fatty and delicious. The patties were a bit dry which would normally be supplemented a bit with the pulled pork but all on all its a burger that deserves to be on the top 10 list, you just have to be able to put up with the terrible...
Read moreWent in for a family dine in at Ze Pickle while visiting Gold Coast on a friends recommendation. Loved the location, ambience and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. We arrived just before 6:30 pm and were lucky to get a table without any bookings. Later the place was packed by 7 pm considering long weekend Friday. Ordered Gaucitas that had generous amount of gauc served on each tacos, perfect for starters to go with drinks. The 3AM burger didn't leave up to our taste buds unfortunately. The cheese sticks in it was overpowering the rest of the burgers taste. It would have tasted really good all by itself if cheezy sticks were bit thinner and less battered or unless we were eating it incorrectly. The baja fish taco burger was a big let down for us. The fish had been heavily battered and the fish could hardly be tasted within its coating which was unfortunately overcooked as well and tasted dry. The baja sauce slaws taste was dampened because of the thickly battered fish and the burgers overall taste could not tickle the taste buds at all. The next burger Kanye's Mum was a bit of a saving grace. Again its my personal opinion that the cheese sticks were bit overpowering. The other downside to those thick cheese sticks in the burger is that once the burger gets slightly cold, the cheese in the stick gets semi hard which then looses its oozy punch. I think the Ze Pickle burger has the potential to be the best burgers with some tweaks. They look amazing and I wish the taste matches it too. My review is more of a positive criticism because I like their concept. I have seen some reviews about them being pricey, well if the burgers tastes are bang on I dont think anyone will notice the pricing as they are filling. I will visit them again to try other burgers...
Read moreGood food but really disappointed with the service from one staff member in particular (tall brunette girl in the green shirt). After patiently waiting for our burgers for well over half an hour on a quiet week night (with no complaints from us) we then went up to pay and were met with a line of customers from a group table paying individually/separately who was REALLY taking their time with things. We politely asked the staff member, who wasn’t busy at the time, if there was a second terminal to pay so we could avoid the seemingly 10 minute long line.
She rolled her eyes and muttered something about there only being one terminal as she walked off without really answering our question, however, she did come back with a second terminal. She held out the terminal, minus any friendliness already from her at this point. Once we’d paid she then sarcastically thanked us for ‘our patience’ and then strutted off.
My partner actually went and told her how petty and rude that was which is out of character for her.
Overall, it was enough where I probably wouldn’t go back again although I’ve been a frequent customer for years with my mates on boys nights and was excited to show my partner my favourite burger joint.
I know her service doesn’t reflect the entire restaurant, but, she’s a representative of the business and in that moment she really changed the way we felt about the evening and...
