Five stars doesn’t feel like enough. This Indian restaurant is next-level. From the moment you walk in, the aroma hits you in the best way—warm spices, fresh herbs, and that unmistakable promise of a proper feed.
We had the butter chicken and chicken tikka masala, both done mild and both absolutely unreal. The flavours were out of this world—rich, comforting, and beautifully balanced. The steamed rice was spot-on, and the coconut rice added that perfect little twist.
The garlic naan and Kashmiri naan had just the right amount of crunch on the outside while still being soft inside—total perfection. Sweet, savoury, and ridiculously moreish.
The service was friendly and on the ball, and you can tell the kitchen really knows what they’re doing. Every dish felt like it was made with care.
If you’re after Indian food that’s full of flavour, made fresh, and seriously satisfying, this place is it. Already planning...
Read moreWe have had the pleasure of eating here 3 times during our month in Burleigh Heads (August 24). Quite honestly, it is the best Indian restaurant we have ever been to (and we have been to many across the Uk, Australia, NZ etc). The food was simply excellent, taste, quality, portion size. Starters and naan breads were of equal quality. Very reasonably priced with a good bar selection. Chutney Mary’s is about 100 metres from the Bowling Club in Burleigh (just to give new visitors a landmark to aim for). The staff were wonderful, Driz (my apologies if I spelled that incorrectly!) was great with recommendations too - she was spot on with her suggestions. It has been the highlight of our time here for eating out - so if you like Indian food, you...

The ambiance was inviting, with warm lighting and tasteful decor. As for the food, each dish was a masterpiece, bursting with flavor and perfectly balanced spices. The butter chicken was rich and creamy, the naan breads were fluffy and freshly baked, and the biryani was fragrant and packed with tender meat and aromatic rice. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff who were happy to recommend dishes and cater to dietary preferences. Overall, they exceeded my expectations, and I can't wait to return for another memorable dining...
