Club Burleigh — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

Wasn’t busy tonight when myself and hubby with our two kids rocked in for dinner. Lovely space and felt it was family friendly. However, there was a mess up with our order as they had no pizza left (not a huge issue) and a refund was offered and I was asked to reorder. So I reorder our whole order and received a message through their online system that I had only received a refund for the pizza not my whole previous order. Ok so a little misunderstanding so I approached our server and he was lovely about it. The manager did fix it up after saying in front of me and the server that “they should of told you to only reorder the replacement meal”. I felt for the server who was clearly trying his best. Honestly it could of been my mistake. Anyway it was sorted but our meals took long to come out and we had a 1 year old and 6 year old getting restless. The food was not Great particularly for the price. The chicken was dry and our burgers were dry and a little burnt. Then we had to ask several times to get our drinks which didn’t get to the table until after we finished our meals. Again we understand their printer in the bar wasn’t working but it was unpleasant to down our drinks after dinner to get back on the road before our kids got restless again. We had dinner for the first time and it was a disaster from the beginning. Firstly I had to order our meals which they didn't have our first choice, so went and looked and went back to order our second choice to then be told they didn't have that either!. With no apology or anything! Just excuses. We were with family so I expressed my concern about the meals coming out at different times in which case the manager tried to get them rushed! (But left me standing there waiting, waiting and waiting, eventually I went back to my table. Big mistake! My cutlets were not nice, i think the oil was old and had a rancid taste to them and the crumb was thick and hard!. My husband who had a $35 steak was very under cooked and the wrong cut of steak, I'd say almost raw! 2023 review: A great place for a feed, refreshment and to bring the kids. The staff are just lovely. Nothing is too much.

2024 review: After a year it's time to update my review. as above, also if you've got a day off and want to catch up with your mates for a few coldies and a decent meal, we wouldn't go anywhere else The parmie is just so good! $18 & comes with a pint (yes, not a pot, a pint) of their house beer.

I'll say it again, the parmie is absolutely delicious. none of that reconstructed chicken you get at other places, it's a proper plump breast with Napoli sauce, ham, crumbed beautifully, cooked until golden and served with decent chips & salad. This Is from someone who spent 15yrs in Melbourne, the parma capital of Oz. I'm fussy, I've paid $25-$30 for parmies on the Goldie and this easily beats the others.
