Bongaree Hot Bread — Restaurant in Greater Brisbane

Hate to leave bad reviews but unacceptable customer service is not ok. Went into this store this morning - signed in with QR code walked up to counter to be treated VERY rudely by woman behind the counter. Very aggressive and unnecessarily combative dialogue. I didn’t realise masks were required in cafe’s or bakeries (I had one in my pocket). Note the attached picture - no indication that a mask was required in store and all people sitting at tables (without food) did not have a mask on, I’m visiting from interstate so did not realise a mask was required in a cafe (In Vic no masks required in cafe’s). Staff ask to be treated with respect and this I 100% agree with BUT staff need to also treat customers with respect. All the cakes look pretty good and reminiscent of cakes shop from ages ago. However when we ordered some lunch we were pretty appalled. After waiting 20 minutes a staff member told us something we ordered was not available...why did it take 20 minutes for them to work it out?? So we ordered something else. It arrived uncooked and cold in the middle..what!! We told the staff member she said she would tell 'him'. We finished up and left...no apologies from 'him'. Wonderful day sun out great to get Coffee & yummy Quiche Lorraine at Bongaree Hot Bread. Very relaxing with views over park to sea. Always great place to go for good service & yummy food. Was in Sweet Mood yesterday & got Blackberry Danish & some slices to take home & share. All Yumny Beautiful views & delicious coffee & food.
