Settlement Cive Lagoon is ideally located at Redcliffe Parade, Redcliffe QLD 4020. This unique lagoon is a very popular family-friendly place where the earlier you arrive, the better it is due to its popularity. Settlement Cove Lagoon has swimming ๐ŸŠโ€โ™‚๏ธ & wading pools & also a fenced off water playground area for the younger children to enjoy ๐Ÿ˜‰ There are adequate shade areas on the seafront area of the lagoon. This community swimming lagoon is opened to the public 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with dedicated lifeguards onsite during the day. There is also no diving into the lagoon or running allowed in & around the lagoon area. There is also onsite security surveillance & security guards onsite on a 24/7 basis ๐Ÿ˜ณ There are on-site services available, with BBQ facilities onsite along with wheelchair access available โ™ฟ๏ธ Designated car parking, with disabled parking, is also available near Settlement Cove Lagoon, making it very convenient for people with disabilities. Steet parking along with the various cafes, hotels & restaurants are also available, again within walking distance from this public swimming lagoon. There are public toilets ๐Ÿšป & showers ๐Ÿšฟ available at the lagoon, but at times, due to its popularity, hygiene issues can arise, particularly with the toilets ๐Ÿšป Due to the popularity of Settlement Cove Lagoon, my advice would be to take your own chairs & picnic tables & umbrellas for shade as required. Please note: There are no dogs allowed onsite ๐Ÿ˜ข Achohol & smoking restrictions also apply!

Settlement lagoon is a beautiful area for a swim and a walk in the park. There is a single change room at the carpark, which we waited forever to use, because we weren't sure if thered be change room at the lagoon. The car parks are not exactly close, but I don't see that as a bad thing, because a little walk was delightful. We arrive at the lagoon to find there are bathrooms/change rooms on the Inland side of the lagoon, and no line. The lagoon itself gets very, very busy. There's some fake grass to lay out a towel. There are life guards too, but please keep your eyes on your kids because they're not babysitters. Next time, the one thing I'll definitely concider before going is the wind. It got extremely windy!! There might be a little less wind in the morning time, like a lot of places around the SE QLD coast.

We had a lovely time at this lagoon as a family. The lagoon is spacious. The deepest part is 1,50 meter which makes it too deep for me (and my kids) to spend. But the average adult is taller than me. There's an island section in the middle where my kids like to climb on, together with other kids. There's also a separate toddler area and the lagoon is next to a playground. There are a few covered seating areas, next to the barbie facilities. You also find toilets and outdoor showers. We appreciated the small food truck next to the lagoon. And we spotted 3 lifeguards, for those who find this important to know. The pool itself looked clean. The fake grass doesn't. It's not very dirty, but I preferred walking on it with my thongs/jandals/flip flops on. Therefore the 4 star. There's free parking closeby.

What a terrible experience we had here a few weeks ago. Young group of children running amok..throwing large rocks into the Lagoon just missing a young girls head. Then a few of them knocked a young boy of his scooter , took his scooter and wallet and took of to the main road where they started throwing rocks at passers by and they hit a bloke in the back who became very upset. A concerned mother and i approached the security guards on duty and they responded "Cant do anything "....they literally just stood from a few metres away and just watched it all unfold. What a job (joke) that is...Security that cant do anything. I watched as angry parent almost took matters into their own hands ..the bloke that got hit by rocks did. Another gentleman told me that the kids were in Woolworths earlier that day walking around pushing things off shelves just for fun........How can you take your young ones here if SECURITY DOESNT EXIST. They need power to hold the kids until Police arrive or at least do...
