If you walk into a restaurant and immediately know that you’re going to come back countless times, then you know what’s it like to have found an amazing, one-of-a-kind establishment. I found this place completely spontaneously and had never researched or known of this place prior. I had been to restaurants that had resided in that same location before, but none of them had particularly stood out to me. The restaurants along the Redcliffe Peninsula seaside are constantly changing and being replaced by new managers, new ideas, and exciting new places to eat. But I hope that Cafe Diversify is here to stay, because Redcliffe (or at the very least, me) is in need of a place like this. The café earns its name from the amount of diversity found on its menu. From Chinese pork buns to Japanese ramen, Buddha bowls and even the locally popular fish & chips. If you’re a fan of Asian cuisine, you will find something to enjoy. Even if you’re new to Asian cuisine, or you just enjoy quirky food, you will find something to enjoy. For a two-page menu, you wouldn’t expect such an interesting range of food, yet Cafe Diversity delivers exactly that. There is also a vegan, vegetarian, and GF option for almost every item on the menu. The cafe section of the restaurant is likewise, offering GF and vegan desserts and alternative milk to be used in coffee. Brisbane as a whole lacks vegetarian/vegan dedicated restaurants, but Redcliffe is very lucky to have found one here. Attempting to create a menu that is inclusive to many people is something that already sets Cafe Diversity apart. Now, onto the food. I ordered the Ramen noodles, Chicken nasi goreng, and the French toast. With it, I also ordered a Capuccino and Chai Latte. Presentation wise, the food was absolutely spectacular, and it really made all the difference for me. The dishes were full of depth, richness, and flavour, and had a refreshing, clean taste. The portions were VERY generous and beautifully served. I have to commend the plating and presentation, as it was the most noticeable aspect for me. The amount of effort and care that was taken into crafting the dish is evident on the plate. Everything about this restaurant makes me happy. The attention to detail into every element of the experience is as if it was perfectly tailored to my liking. I hope that Cafe Diversity gets the love and attention it deserves. I can really feel like the staff have put their heart into this restaurant.

So we went to this poor excuse for a cafe where they employ barely working age staff, service is terrible. Food was even worse. We ordered 2 lots of pancakes, a satay chicken and a mango smoothie. The chicken was dryer than the Sahara desert to begin with and smothered in sachet Satay sauce But the real problem was the pancakes, these pancakes ontop of being $20 with the public holiday surcharge, were store bought microwaved pancakes, if you don’t believe me try them for yourself, completely uniform like store bought coles pancakes out of a packet slapped in a microwave, when asked about these they said they were “pre-made and reheated” I explained that they are not up to standard and sent them back to the kitchen and asked for a refund. The poor excuse of a human/manager Paul then came over and pointed to the illegal small print on the menu explaining that they don’t offer refunds, which I then explained to him that it’s illegal. He then said “do you want me to help you or not” I said you could help with a refund which he once again denied. I went home and called him and explained to him again that it’s illegal and he will be reported to the accc For the illegal procedures, he then explained that he’s a private investigator and he would sue me for defamation if I reported him to the accc, unfortunately for him I’m not intimidated by his scare tactics and has now not only been reported to the accc for illegal conduct but is now getting a glowing review. Don’t believe me? I have the recordings to prove it which I’m happy to share with anyone interested in this disgusting behaviour. Please see attached photos of these sub par pancakes that a trained monkey could reheat at home.

Apparently it's day 1 ! The staff have been very friendly and helpful. The dining room is funky and inviting. Would work for a casual lunch or a fancier dinner (very smart design). Lunch was lovely. The food was great and when I had questions about the food.. the chef came and answered them (I have some food sensitivities so it was wonderful to know what was in my food !) A very strong start to this new business. I will be back in the future to try some other items of their menu. Update Day 2 I have come back to have breakfast. This time with partner and sister. The venue had a nice busy (but not too busy) feel. Lots of tables, good sounds coming from the tables. Lots of happy people. The service was just as friendly and super helpful. I have a bag of food allergies and again the service staff and kitchen were accomodating. My meal was modified (I am sure that the kitchen was scratching their heads at what I had ordered but they did it.... and it was great {banana flour pancakes with banana nice cream, eggs on the side}. The rest of my table was more conventional. Dirty Chai's, big breakfast and Korean Tofu..... all looked and smelled excellent.... presentation beautiful... and reports from those eating ... excellent flavour ! So overall 2 out of 2 5* experiences ! ***** Update :- 4 meals .... 2 breakfast 2 lunches ... all excellent ! The staff have been as consistently wonderful as the food ! This place is becoming a fav!

Service was absolutely shocking, and staff was rude! We ordered on the QR code on the table, and paid for a few drinks, milkshakes, coffee with extra shot, a whisky on the rocks and frappe. The frappe was made from the left over milkshake, no crushed ice, cream or toppings, with the coffee, there was no extra shot as ordered and and whisky was served with coke (no coke ordered) When we complained we were brought the correct whisky but was told by the owner in an attitude we will be charged for the alcahol and coke which they refused to take back. They said their coffee is a bland blend beans and we could probably just not taste it and their machine is an automatic machine and to top that apparently we do not know what a frappe looks like. Suzanne was rude and refused to fix their mess up. I do not recommend them as this is not the first time they have messed our order up. Another unsatisfied customer that will not go there again.

Update* Thank you Suzanne for replying and I must say how disappointed I am, as a simple apology would have been acceptable, we were not asking for a refund, and merely a correction to what we ordered by the fact that you can blatantly lie about us not paying, and instead of taking the criticism you have chosen to name and shame us, and post a picture of us on your wall, this goes to prove how you and your company deal with complaints. The order was placed on the QR code on the table which is payable before the order is placed, so perhaps you should check your bank account first before accusing us as scammers and trolls for non payment. Noting, the only item that was not paid for, or ordered by us was a whisky and coke, which was incorrectly supplied by you to us as it should have been a whisky only. When we notified your staff of the error, we asked the elder gentleman to take the whisky and coke back, and he said no keep it, so we have to pay extra for your staffs mistake? I’m really confused as to why you are accusing us now of no payment, and calling us names like trolls or scammers? Shame on you for not taking the criticism and trying to make your company better or train your staff on this feedback but pass the blame to the consumer. The Receipt and bank transaction is on Burleigh’s post if you want proof. Perhaps instead of naming shaming and false accusations, you should focus on customer satisfaction and ensuring correct orders are delivered. Ps, I’m not sure what you are referring to with a young work experience student being upset? We were dealing with you and your partner, maybe it could have been your reactions behind the scenes...
