Called up to place a takeaway order on Wednesday 17/05/2023 First (and definitely last) time ordering here. The staff member could barely hear me over the phone, I repeated myself several times with increasing volume. She confirmed my order. Picked up the order 20 mins later Got home with the order. Was given the wrong order. Called back to try to sort it out. Two staff members, again could barely hear me over the phone leading to having to raise my voice to even be understood. Very uncomfortable. Neither of them seemed to understand that a customer had been sent away with the wrong order, nor what they should do about it. No process in place. I asked to speak to the manager. She was very rude. It took several times me asking that if I drove back, would I get the correct order. Initially was told that I "get the order that is written down" - which I agreed to, that's obvious. The order was incorrect however (I was given something I don't eat). Staff seem to be ok with not being able to hear customers on the phone (could easily step away from the front counter into the kitchen to save customers having to raise their voice). Then I was told to bring the food back in order to be given the correct order. Not exactly best or hygienic practice, though I did not mention this. And then I was actually told off for being argumentative! I worked 20 years in the hospitality industry. I managed and trained staff. This was unfortunately a terrible display of leadership and staff support of the younger ones. Also, at my venues, when a screw up like this happened (it happens, no big deal), if a customer has to drive back, the replacement is complimentary. The food itself is actually cheap. It's the labour that costs. And bad reviews are to be avoided. Not in this case, unfortunately. Very poor experience. One Star. Go to the Thai Hut in Margate instead. Service is great, food is great. Good management. Lovely family...

Rubbish food.. rubbish service.. scammer!!! Serve the wrong order. I did order fried rice with chicken.. for dine in. She charge me extra 13 aud for 2 people sitting in the restaurant. It has no notification on the door or the menu about that. So I end up paid extra 13 aud. I did order fried rice chicken with prawn as I always did almost every week. But after I ate the meals I realised that it has no prawn. I confirm to the waitress asking did they charge me with the price of meals include the prawn and chicken and they said yes. And I told them the fried rice has no prawn. They came back said. We serve with chicken and pork. I was upset. It's religion thing I dont eat pork even I always confirm that the food has no pork product bacon or etc.. and my body will have reaction of food allergy within 24 hours normally after. And they said sorry.. okay I forgive them people can make mistake.. but they gave me 25 aud only. I was really angry and upset.. I paid more than 53 aud for my dinner with my husband and he had to left his dinner as well.. they didn't even offer to give the correct meals.. or paid fully refund. They don't care about people. Don't go here!! They also rush you to quick eat and leave soon. Very disrespectful...

The family and I went to JD Thai today for lunch and I have to say it was great an overall fantastic experience that you can take anyone from a family dining experience to going on a date with that special someone. I could have kept eating and eating. Food was promptly brought out did not have to wait too long even though they were busy. The only downside to my experience was we ordered 2 steamed rices and they did not have enough and after the fact that we ordered it and then the chef came out and said they don't have enough steamed rice. They only had enough for one serving. If this is the case then we should not be charged if you the chef restaurant has to make the change not the customer fault after the fact because at the time of ordering we were not told there was not enough. What should have happened to keep all happy charge the fried rice as it was a forced change by the restruant charge it as steamed rice price.
