A Market Day event was advertised for Saturday 4/6 of the long weekend, from 10am til 4pm. There would be pop up stalls on the boardwalk running along-side the usual businesses there. I counted 14, most of which were selling similar products so the variety and number of stalls did not attract me to stay more than 5 minutes. The big draw for us was the promotion of fresh crays available straight off the boat. We arrived early to ensure a car park and crayfish purchase, but couldnt find any trawlers, notices or officials to tell us exactly where and when we could buy the crayfish and I made a comment to my husband about that which was overheard by a woman at the atm, who turned to ask if we were looking for the crayfish. She said theyre coming in at 1pm at the boardwalk pop up tent area. I dont know if she was a customer and discovered that somehow or if she was an event promoter, but we were grateful and decided at that point we would not wait around for another 3 hours, but would have a coffee and something light to eat before leaving. I fancied a piece of fish and went to the large fish and chip business on the east end corner of the complex. It had changed but we found our way in to what we thought was a closed business except for the fact there were 2 women eating inside their frontage. We went inside and aroynd the corber to a young lady serving coffee and cake. There were no prices on the cases in the showcase which immediately suggests its expensive so I asked... the price of a coffee ($8.50) and the price of a small piece of cake ($9) was principley prohibitive so we left. We understand that these businesses have to pay high rent but we dont want to pay their rent, but just pay for what...

On busy days, the service, the quality of the food and the availability of seating all drops to very low levels. We were very disappointed last visit, ended up cancelling our meals, and heading to TGI Fridays in Joondalup for great food...
