A trip into history, well worth taking some time to view...it's Free! Absolutly fascinating to see all kinds of memorabilia from the past, what it was, how it worked and who used it. There are extensive collections on display many supported by detailed notes, photographs and detailed scale models.

Interesting museum which tells the story of peanuts, the old machinery that was used in the early years, they also have televisions going that tell the story how peanuts are grown to the harvesting, highly recommended

Great little museum and information centre! Our son had a great time finding all the little peanuts in costumes hidden though the museum.

Kingaroy Heritage Museum is filled with historic items covering country life, Australian culture and war memorability. I was in awe seeing these items well preserved and the iconic brands which have lasted the years. Children are given a find a peanut hunt while they walk through which keeps them entertained also. It's free to visit and only need to spend short time walking through two large areas and a couple of smaller rooms. Next door is the town Information Centre to buy souvenirs and next building is the Art Museum show casing local talent. Nice gardens out the back to sit down for a rest stop and public toilets...

Both of the Heritage Museum and the Art Gallery are located inside the Kingaroy Information Centre. The Heritage Museum contains many things that you will not find in many other places. Staff are very friendly. Highly recommended. Visited on 22 Oct 2016. Domestic tourism should be encouraged...
