I ordered the Grilled Seafood Basket, the meal cost $42.90. It came with Cold and watery Grilled Barramundi, 2 Cold apparently Grilled Prawns and 2 Cold Calamari Pieces. As well as chips and salad. I admittedly did eat the two prawns as soon as the meal came out, because they were cold I then felt my Barramundi. It was watery cold and raw in places. I immediately took my meal back to the bar staff and asked for my money back. The young lady took it to the duty manager. Which then came back out with my meal. And said there was nothing wrong with it. I told her that the fish was raw. She then informed me they do not do refunds as the chef said it was hot when it was bought out and insinuated I left my meal for quite some time before I started eating. I told her I started eating as soon as the young lady had bought my meal out. She then took my meal back to the kitchen, returned without my meal and said that it was cold because of all the back and forth with my meal about my complaint. The duty manager was quite rude and unapologetic, and to be honest, had the Attitude that she couldn’t care that I could have gotten sick from raw Barramundi and under cooked seafood in general. I have never been treated so poorly from someone in a customer service position. As we were walking out of the venue, the duty manager and the chef found it...

I personally haven't spent a night at the Carra ~ (locals name for the Carrollee), but I've visited. Let's just say you get what you pay for staying at the pub hotel, but otherwise cosy & comfortable & affordable. Staff are genuinely polite & helpful. Pokie room is a little boring with no room at all to swing a cat, but you can take a seat & have a slap.

Music, dinner & drinks are responsible for freedom of choice & costs. Seating can be available indoors or outdoors, plenty of under cover area outside & ampol seats in the dining room, or if you wish to grab that dish & sit on in the main 🍸 bar then go for it. Remember to be firm & direct when asking for how well you want your meat! Photo shows a dish of the 200g Rump Steak 'Well Done' 🥺 let's say my partner & I ate better over at the RSL.

Location is perfect if you rather let your feet do the walking. Main 2 banks (Commonwealth & NAB) right across the road with a chemist within reach diagonally across the road from them. Westpac is to the right from the Post Office & across the road as you walk to the shopping mall where you can find a Newsagency, EB Games, Big W, Woolworths Supermarket, Best & Less, Prouds, Lowes, House, Telstra Shop, Strand Bags, a Barbers, a Butchers, Blooms Chemist, a shoe shop & few other handy stores for a quick bite to eat, or get your hearing or...

Yes it was New Year's Eve but the service received was terrible... Dinner (1st guest) - Caesar salad was missing half the ingredients that make it a Caesar salad... No croutons, no bacon, very little chicken (that was boiled not pan fried) and very little Parmesan cheese... 1 star... Dinner (2nd guest) - chicken schnitzel was overly bland and almost to dry... A few years ago I would have raved (and I did) about the crumb that was used on their schnitzel... Beautiful herbed crumb that made the chicken taste divine... That has been replaced with a plain (not very well seasoned crumb)... Salad was half dead and the dressing was horrible... I ate the tomatoes and onion and left the rest... 1 star Dessert x 2 - vanilla slice and lemon tart plus a FW and CAP- let's get past the fact that they were clearly NOT worth the cost $11.90 each the tart shell was soggy and the slice was still frozen... The coffee was a mixed bag... The FW was almost cold and was drunk in two sips and the CAP was burning hot... seriously NO stars...

Will not be going back any...

The halloumi tacos were HORRENDOUS What a waste of money. The copious amount of cabbage was pickled (not stated on menu) The cauliflower chunks were too big with no flavour. No spice. The halloumi was rubbery I tried to remove the cauli but the halloumi + cabbage were too salty I realised at taco #2 why everything was so sour, there was no guacamole! I flagged it with the waitress who said “it’s in there” so I DUG through my taco to show her it’s not. She begrudgingly bought a small dish out with “guac”. It was… green purée baby food. Worse than the tacos! It was not fresh, 100% from a tube.

Absolutely love this pub !! What’s not to love about an historic pub in an historical town?! The food is always sensational and the accommodation is clean and neat. Comfy beds and the balcony is great to kick back on after a 4 hour gig, to either wind down and watch the sun come up or just get ready to crash in the still of the night !! Love it here .. the staff and management are fabulous and always accommodating. They are top supporters of live music too and you can’t beat that !! Absolute must if you’re passing through Kingaroy.
