Lorne Sea Baths — Attraction in Lorne

This place is run down. Furniture from nearby cafe being set up everywhere. Lack of staff with nobody at the front counter at all for 5 minutes or inside where the pool is. People left as nobody would take an entry free. 5 bumper boats, but 2 not working and we were told had not worked for months and were faded with pieces hanging off the boats, yet the bumper boats were still in the water. Old faded signs everywhere, yet this is the start of the summer season and school holidays. Council run, needs a total update and makeover. People were in the pool with no sign of a lifeguard for 10 minutes which is not allowed for a public pool. A new manager with some pool experience should be bought in. Children running around the pool with nobody supervising today was an accident waiting to happen sadly.. Could be a safer place....(note we were told the lifeguard who was also taking the money at the front desk was over at the mini golf. But this meant nobody at all was at the pool and the pool could not be seen while children and adults were...

It’s a good gym with most the equipment you need.

The big problem is they have a communal speaker which is blasted so loudly by people who go in there. It’s super distracting and most the time can’t be drowned out by headphones. A lot of people leave without turning it off too so their music is still going even when they’re not there. I didn’t think it would be an issue at first but I struggle to enjoy my workout because of this. I probably wouldn’t sign up for any more time because of this.

If they didn’t have this it would be a good place to workout or have as a local gym.

We try to ask people to turn it down but they’re always weird and rude about it, it’s also not something I want to have to do when...

Lovely facilites and not too busy on a 28 degree day. Staff are lovely and accommodating, allowing customers to come and go (with wrist bands on) and bring food in. The downfall was the cleanliness of the showers and change rooms, which is to be expected of a public swimming pool.
