Ok so I've been to both locations and I loved the chopstix in Apollo Bay, but I get it this was special. Lorns Chopstix had heaters on out front and heaps of seating inside. I had the ninja laksa {is that how it's spelt?} and the general chow rice I think that's what it was called The food was exceptional my soup was made without chilli and wasn't spice because I'm pathetic, fresh crab and I mean an actual crab 🦀 seafood was great noodles perfect 👌 I loved it. The girls loved the rice lots of meat too really good value dishes I had a frozen margarita cocktail which was also fantastic and a berry smoothie. The kids dish was great fresh good cuts of chicken Brest I was really impressed Highly recommended

We ordered the " Nasi Goreng", but were really disappointed. It was a teriyaki fried rice, really sticky and sweet, with no spice at all. For the price and location, we expected fresh local king prawns (even if only 2 or 3), but it was the tiny frozen prawns that are super cheap and not found locally. And almost zero veg or chicken, just lots of sweet Rice that we didn't even finish. The staff also failed to listen when we asked for no onion but were fine with spring onion, but this is an easy mistake to make. The satay skewers were great, but very expensive for only 3 skewers.

After about ten years of noticing Chopstix we finally paid them a visit (note you can’t book so get there early as it does get very busy). Fun murals and lanterns made for pleasant interiors but the order at the counter situation (and lengthy line to pay) made it pretty inconvenient when I wanted another coconut. My pad Thai was a very generous serving (although a little light on flavour) and I ended up taking almost a full container of leftovers home (possibly also related to the number of hot cross buns I’d consumed that day)

This place is a mixed bag really. Some of the food is authentic and the atmosphere and decor is cool. The mee goreng noodles with beef were a bit salty but a fairly good copy of what you get in SE Asia. The pad Thai was okay, but the chicken was old and off. Be careful if you order a chicken dish. They were good about giving a refund for that dish, so service is good to be fair. The chilli station was good, too. My noodles needed more fire so I went for one of the very hot chilli sauces, and it was quite good.
