What a joke. I have been meditating for years by myself just using apps, I decided I wanted something more authentic, so I paid $50 to do the meditation retreat day at this temple. I will say, it is a beautiful temple, I felt I had come to the right place. But what do we do? We sit around someone's phone listening to an app instructing us to meditate. You're telling me none of the monks actually instruct participants ever? Also they provided a meal and said they would take our food allergies into account. Some of the followers disciples are too commercialised thus making the faith looks greedy but in all honesty most faith rely on donations and merchandise to keep going and make money.
