Garden Cafe on Guildford — Restaurant in Western Australia

They thought they'd get away with negligence and lack of care and they have, thus I'm writing this review for my NDIS client. Not only is this cafe dirty and the food overpriced for what you get but the owner and staff do not have regard about their "Duty of Care". Their standards for a patrons injuring themselves in their facility are very low...in fact nonexistent. My client actually fell thru the floor as a result of deterioration on the building. Collapsed and bleeding. Staff just stared. Ambulance was called. I waited in the floor with my client. On the ground we could see ambulance so asked staff to keep a look out...they just shrugged. Even another patron purchasing a coffee looked at us in disgust as she walked past, made a terrible face as my client was on the floor crying. I know it's odd to see injured people in a cafe on the floor, but that's no grounds to stare, whisper, be rude or give belittling looks. The owner seemed professional and gave their number to keep in contact with my disability client. The ambulance came and took a look at the injuries sustained. We then went to hospital for her injuries on her leg. A few weeks later after discharge from hospital, my client approached the owner about insurance and paying her legal, medical fees. They ignored her. They blocked her. They didn't do anything. It's been over 6 months and still nothing. This is very unprofessional. This is why businesses should have insurance and duty of care and not be negligent and have staff that don't know how to act in an emergency. Will obviously never come here again. Terrible service...

Booking a table in the alfresco area for Mother's Day online was a nightmare. I was told I wasn't able to reserve my table, and my mobile number was wrong. I checked with them the online confirmation had my correct details, but when they entered it into their own spreadsheet they left out a digit! Then we were given a table right on Guildford Road with traffic driving pass. Eventually they gave us a table inside as originally request. We ordered 3 meals via QR code on my phone, 1 meal came first but and requested with no onions, but still got onions. We sat for close to an hour and waited for the remaining 2 meals which they forgot. Can't believe using technology they can still make errors! First time there and will...

Had high expectations of this place; however was a little disappointed.

Only redeeming qualities really were friendly counter staff and amazing beetroot hot chocolate with almond milk.

Food took ages to come out despite the cafe being very quiet. My friend's food was lovely but my potato rosti dish was quite bland, even though it was a chef recommendation.

The plate was a pile of carrot, cabbage and lettuce, the rosti on top was small and not seasoned and the fact we waited so long, I just expected more.

Would have given a rating of 2 but because the beetroot hot chocolate was to die for, I gave this place a 3.
