I got a HOT beef vindaloo. Hottest I have tasted. Xlnt. Naan was very good as was the light and non sticky rice. It has 7 x tables and chairs but is really a takeaway place. But it is an okay place to eat there. I will be going back there again for more hot spicy offerings. Most stuff ready made is mild or medium to cater for most tastes. The ready made up dishes are for quick service for the lunchtime and after work crowds. They will cook anything on the menu but takes 10+ minutes if not ready made. The ready made dishes were heated and did look like they had sat there all day. It was busy when we were there, with a constant stream of customers picking up their orders. Read moreHave been coming here for over a decade. It is our favourite Indian food. Ever. We have tried others, when Avtar is sometimes closed while the family that runs it is on holidays. But nobody beats Avtar.
Our faves are the Butter Chicken and Lamb Korma. We sometimes get Chicken Tikka, Lamb Seekh Kebab, Samosa and Pakoras, and I've had the Goat curry on the bone a few times also. The Naan bread is always freshly baked.

I ordered the Chicken Korma with Paneer and coconut rice. The chicken was tender and the coconut rice was perfectly cooked.
My vegan wife was equally impressed with the vegetarian Korma, paired with freshly made Roti bread. It's not easy to find vegan options that delight, but this place nailed it.
