THE BEST COFFEE CLASS! Taking courses at Barista Masterclass is the best decision I made in Melbourne. Angie, the instructor, is awesome! First of all, she teaches from fundamental and general knowledge about coffee to detailed and specific info about Melbourne's coffee culture. She knows about Melbourne's coffee culture better than anyone else, and always tries to keep up with the newly introduced things. You can have chance to learn and practice about real Melbournian coffee. Secondly, her instruction skills are amazing and she is very patient. I had literally zero knowledge on coffee making, so I was quite terrible at coffee making and latte art. She explained in a way students can easily understand. Even if I didn't seem to do properly she patiently observed how I did and pointed out what when wrong. I really appreciate it!! Last but not least, I can't not mention her character. She is kind, considerate, and genuinely cares about her students. She always tries to get feedback from her students, and whenever her students get a job as a barista she feels happy as if it was her own children's success! Advices she gave me during the class were very comforting. I truly enjoyed the class not only because she is a good teacher but also she is a nice person. To sum up, I strongly recommend taking this class! Angie is a skilled, kind teacher. I dare to say that she is the best instructor on coffee in Melbourne. I was able to gain a lot of knowledge and comfort in class. Thank you Angie!🩷

My husband and I came to Melbourne as amateur baristas, hopeful to find work. You can imagine our surprise (post an outstanding and informative beginner class with Angie) to find the beauty and art of the coffee culture in Melbourne. Angie gave us the tools in the first class to learn the basics of milk texturing, espresso pulling, and pouring latte art! We had no hesitation to continue learning from Angie with her Ready to Work program since she is chock full of experience and knowledge in the industry. We finished the program within a week, filled with highs and lows of learning new skills in a short amount of time. We just started our first day of work as baristas in Melbourne and it was put into perspective just how genuinely helpful and talented Angie’s class is. She really prepares you for every situation, filling your skill set with real life information and tips. Not only did we discover a new talent and new level of the profession, but we found a friend in Angie. She truly cares about every person that walks through the garage door, and has been nothing but encouraging, patient, funny, and kind. I cannot recommend any of her classes enough, if you have the chance to do any or all, TAKE IT!! Truly the best coffee school in Melbourne!!

I've searched many barista courses to learn latte art, but I believe this academy is the best in Melbounre. If you are looking for latte art courses in Melbounre, I really highly recommend this academy 100 percent. To be honest, I just worked as a barista, so I wasn't familiar with how to use a coffee machine and how to steam milk. But even though it was a 'Latte Art' course, Angie fixed my shortcomings and kindly taught me how to do of it. In additon, I asked several questions apart from latte art, but she also, helped me solve my curiosity. At first, I had no confidence in doing latte art, and I had no ideas how to do it, but after class, I was able to find myself doing latte art. She gave me confidence even I had a mistake, and this led me to great progress. The course time consisted of a total of three hours. However, it never felt like a long time. There was no time to be bored throughout the class, and rather, I felt that the time was short. For me, it was a really interesting and happy time throughout the class. I thank her for making today a very meaningful day for me and having a happy time.

Highly recommended course for home baristas to level up your coffee making skills if you get more serious with your coffee-making hobby.

I have been making white coffee by my home espresso machine for over 4 year by self-training through Youtube. But there are so many important knowledge and skills that those Youtube videos can’t give you- it’s the real experience from a barista master like Angie and FEEDBACK you receive on your work. I have learned so much from Angie during the 4 hr course which she helped refine my techniques and build correct muscle memories.

She is super hands-on with every single one of her students to guide and give prompt feedbacks to make sure we have the right techniques for every stage of making coffee to avoid building bad habits or gesture. It’s also great to practice with real milk, real coffee and high-end coffee machine and gadgets too!

If you have invested in a good home coffee and coffee gears, investing in this course to build correct skills is the best thing you can do to make the best coffee every day. Investing in your skills is never wasted. Having a good coffee to kickstart your day in the morning is simply the best feeling if you are coffee lover ;)

Thanks again Angie for...
