Rosso Coffee Experience — Restaurant in Melbourne

We stumbled upon Rosso Coffee by chance and ended up having such a great experience. The vibe was cool, relaxed, and welcoming, with a menu that was both unique and inviting.

I was torn between the steak frites and the chicken schnitzel toasty, but ended up going with the schnitzel and kimchi option and the herb chicken sourdough. The kimchi chicken was nicely spicy, very filling, and well-balanced. We also shared the chicken and herb toasty, made with poached chicken, mayo, and fresh herbs on pumpkin sourdough. Both were delicious, and swapping halfway through was the perfect way to try them.

The coffee was fantastic, strong, smooth, and well-made, and the serving sizes were generous. The staff were delightful: friendly, hospitable, and really added to the experience. To top it off, they offered us an almond croissant on the house, which was such a nice touch. We were already full, so we took most of it home, but it was absolutely delicious.

We came in for brunch and were instantly impressed — the food was spot on, and the team’s recommendations were excellent. Friendly, welcoming vibes all around.

Then came the coffee — rich, aromatic, and clearly crafted with care. One sip led us down a flavourful rabbit hole, and before long, we found ourselves in a coffee tasting session with Jutt Tedesco, Rosso’s Head Roaster.

Jutt was incredibly patient and generous with his knowledge. His passion for coffee shone through in every word — you could tell he genuinely loves what he does. He took the time to walk us through the origins, tasting notes, and brewing methods of different beans. I just had to share the incredible service I received from Rosso Coffee Experience today for R U OK? Day. I reached out needing a few treats in a box and Felix, the Manager, went above and beyond. Not only did he source the most delicious pastries, but he also printed the card and presented everything in a beautifully arranged box. The attention to detail was truly touching and made a big impact.

A huge shoutout to the chef as well — the pastries were absolutely divine! You can tell the team puts genuine care into everything they do.
