I would not recommend this place to anyone. I very politely asked if he could price match with another retailer and the bookshop owner very rudely laughed and sarcastically sneered in my face. He then went on say “ that’s the first time anyone’s asked me to price match, but no”.

This made me feel very uncomfortable and it was very unwelcoming. I don’t think the bookshop owner realises, How competitive retail has become, along with the high cost of living. This business has no website, no click and collect option and appears to be very outdated.

This was on Christmas Eve and none of his products were on sale.

I went in to North Melbourne books today during a visit from Sydney and was thrilled to find Richard Maikin’s “Anything you can cook I can cook Vegan” which was only released last week! There needs to more of these spotted around Melbourne. This is a delightful boutique bookstore offering a range of adult, teen and children's books.
