UPDATE: I'm sorry, I really am but the last two sessions were kinda meh. The balance of the eggs were off (it can't ALL be Parmasan), the coffee was bitter, and they messed up our order. But, most egregiously, the bacon was thin, mostly fat and barely cooked - that's a pretty fundamental fail there. Really hope they lift their game soon. I swear, North Melbourne is fast becoming the capital of first rate brunch cuisine. We had the chicken n waffles and the chili scrambled eggs. The latter was very special. They opted for a sloppier scramble, which you don't often see at restaurants, and it was chok full of wonderful, fragrant herbs. The first bite was so different I was almost put off and then my mouth began to salivate and I needed more. A very fine and interesting scrambled egg. Unrelated to the eggs, the service was excellent. Yeah, go there. EDIT: My brunch companion told to add that the cofee was "amazing".

The staff's customer services were so unfriendly and rude. My friend ordered ice long black and they gave coffee in a 'sushi cup' to us. that is so weird, i've never got coffee in that cup in all cafes i've ever been to i Melb so far as well as it didnt make sense. There was no sushi store. We thought that's a racism and we complained about this situation. But they didnt say any sorry about the situation and what we felt, also we found a hair in my friend's brunch dish. When we complained it again, I felt the staff didnt know how to resolve the problem and they only said sorry once. Even they didnt say anything when we were going out from the cafe too. If you guys wanna know how this cafe is and where to go, my recommendation is that here is not worth going and you can go other better cafes than here. I'm not gonna come here again. We are so unpleasant bcs of your services. Thank you so much.

Meander away from the main strip to discover this house-to-cafe conversion. Browse through the ever-popular favourites served at all good cafes and settle in for a short wait, accompanied by the rhythms of pumping rap music. The black sticky rice was presented with passionfruit, puffed rice, banana and immersed in coconut cream. The generous serve was chewy but enjoyably balanced by the textures of the banana and coconut cream. The passionfruit gave the dish a slightly tart kick. Loved the matcha latte with maple syrup experiment - a harmony and added flavour that can only be from maple syrup. Service with a smile by both staff - never gets old. The interior is cosy but modern and the courtyard seating in the back is really pleasant on a balmy day. Another successful experiment with a happy ending.

So many great things about this cafe. First and foremost the food is excellent. The coffee is great. With a solid culinary base they excel in many areas except one huge flaw that prevents me giving it five stars.

The atmosphere is great - inside is warm and cosy, outside is pleasant and refreshing. The cups and tableware are all quite beautiful. It's as if a designer has run their eye over every detail - and it shows. The service is prompt and friendly without being intrusive.

This brings me to the flaw. The toilet. It is an outside cubicle about one metre away from the outside tables. The roof is even slightly ajar so you can actually hear what is going on inside the toilet. Not the most pleasant of experiences - for either the person inside or outside the toilet!

As I've said, otherwise the experience is excellent and highly...
