TL;DR: Donât bother with this store. They donât follow the JB Hifi price matching policy or their Refunds and Warranties policies and consumer rights.
I had a JB Hifi gift card and came in to buy a game and asked at the register if they could price match Big W (which had it in stock). She said âyep, no worries.â As she was putting it through she turned to one of the other staff members walking past and asked said âHey weâre price matching this game yeah?â And he just rudely shook his head and yelled âNope!â and walked off. No reason. Nothing.
She apologised and said âSorry I canât price match this. Do you still want it?â I said donât bother.
JB Hifi has a very clear price matching policy on their website, which I adhered to. But seems like staff at this store just price match based on their current mood.
On another occasion, tried to get a replacement band for a Fitbit as the rubber had started peeling from the plastic housing within 3 months of purchase. They flat out denied a refund or repair/replacement as they said it was âwear and tearâ. When I argued that a $300 item thatâs designed to be worn everyday, should last longer than 3 months before starting to break she still wouldnât budge. Again, JB Hifi has clear refund and warranties rights on their website (which I was well within) but this store chooses not to adhere to it. Ended up getting a replacement directly from Fitbit.
Submitted a complaint and got a cookie cutter apology response but nothing more.

   Read moreJB always got the best deals, but I want to make this review more about customer service. We went to check out deals on iPhone. It was a pretty busy day just one day before Christmas. We were looking around for someone who would help us compare the deals and plans with a sim port as well. We heard this guy explaining the laptop details to another customer, and instantly realised that he is the one who will be able to assist us. This guy, Ollie, is just amazing, he explained all the plans in detail, helped us with sim port, compared other deals, and answered many questions we had with a lot of patience and friendliness. He assisted us with choosing the charger, cable, screen guard, back cover, and all the paperwork for the sim port. Throughout the time, Ollie was interested in the conversation with immense respect and guided us with every assistance we needed. Looking at his dedicated communication skills, even other customers were lining up close to seek assistance from him. There are a few, like Ollie we have come across in the last 7 years, who will go above and beyond to serve customers with a smiling face, interested conversations, and a respectful response! He made sure that we got the items we were looking for after many comparisons of the specifications. Ollie, you have definitely raised the bar for the customer service...
   Read moreI had the most wonderful experience here. I recieved noise cancelling earphones as a gift well over 4 months ago, and was experiencing a weird crackling in one earpiece. I went in store to see what could be done, and was told they could send it out to repair as it was in warranty, but it would take 4-6 weeks. As an autistic person, I rely heavily on my earphones to get through the day to day, so I declined the offer and was prepared to just deal with the fault. I did not get the name of the individuals that helped me, but to my surprise, they not only sympathised with my sensory issues and need for headphones, but offered to replace mine on the spot. I cannot express enough how much this meant to me, and how deeply moved I was to not only be understood, empathised with, but also helped in a way that I desperately needed. I was truly and honestly almost brought to tears, because I had been so frustrated and upset with the issue, but it was impossible to go about my day without sensory aid, and the JBHIFI team understood that and helped immediately.
It truly is difficult to see true compassion in these times, so to recieve this help was, incredible.
If anyone is neurodivergent and wants to shop somewhere they know they'll not only be treated with respect, but with kindness as well, I honestly reccomend going here...
