As we couldn't get tix for the train (all booked out), we drove to this spot where you at least get the iconic view of the train passing over this impressive old bridge. There's room for about 15 cars beside the street and you can hear the train coming long before you see it appear around the bend. Keep an eye on the timetable (online) to know which side it will approach from. It is a delightful sight and those who have never seen it before are always amazed at seeing people young and old sitting on the window-sills with their legs hanging out. 🤣🤣 The impact of the sounds, sights and smoky smells are something you will never forget!

So good to see that kids can once again sit on the window ledge with their legs dangling, just as we did when we were kids. A Melbourne icon and world class tourist destination! Go there! And afterwards, the Emerald Village Bakery and Café (trust me on this!)
