Village Cinemas M-City — Attraction in Melbourne

If you are thinking about trying out the new Village cinema at M-City please read my review!

Good points. The staff are helpful. Location is good. Speaker sound is good.

Bad points. It seems the rows are closer together and the seats are poorly made so when anyone walks behind you and touches the seat it feels Iike the are hitting it hard. The leg room has also been reduced to the seat infront of you. It's like they made the cinema for smaller people. The floor the seats are on sounds like it's hollow underneath and you can feel it move when people are entering and exiting the cinema and going up and down the steps. Even if the person next to you moves your seat also moves. The seat back doesn't have a head rest so you have to slide down a little if you want to rest your head.

Absolutely loved the layout inside the individual cinema, the chairs are comfortable, have easily identified cup holders for each person and a table between seats to place popcorn or other snacks.

We had to change out ticket time due to my friend having to fly home and the staff were extremely friendly and happy to assist us in getting this done smoothly and quickly.

What can sometimes be an overwhelming or stressful situation was made extremely calm and easy due to wonderful staff members! Definitely recommend this location as an option if you’re looking for an intimate comfortable setting that won’t be too overwhelming.

Firstly the movie paused right near the ending and they weren't able to restart it. They did not provide refunds only a coupon for another ticket which is unacceptable and I'm pursuing with villiage.

Booking online the seat maps don't match it's a 2,4,2 configuration for each row yet online shows 2,2,2,2 with aisles in between.

Chairs are far too upright and don't recline when it's meant to be Vpremium.

Far too many ads before the movie and multiple ads for promoting their advertising space. These all started at the scheduled 3:20 start time so movie started like 25 minutes after the start time. It would be okay if you start your ads as people are entering make us sit there watching 25 minutes of ads only to cut off the end of the bloody movie we paid to see.
