Clean and well kept zoo and the animals look health and happy. The only issue I have is there are too little animals in comparison to people. Most exhibits only have 2 animals per cage, sometimes you can’t see them cause they’re resting. But at least the animals are not stressed. The ticket price is also quite expensive. There are lots of families having picnics in the area too. Overall, nice place to visit, but there are better places to get the animal viewing experience if that’s what you want.

Really enjoy the zoo, but it’s disappointing when you get to the main animals and there not there or hiding. I understad the animals need space but if you’re going to pay the money to see the animals you expect more. I always find the zoo is exciting but becomes under-wellming sometimes. Also kids in prams are constantly removed and shown animals. Mayne a pram viewing area could be established?

hand down, melbourne zoo is one of the most beautiful zoos i have ever seen. my partner and i came for a trip down from adelaide and we had such an amazing time. we booked in for the seal experience and the team went above and beyond to make this experience unforgettable, especially ariel. thanks for making our trip such a great one and we miss bella already! :)

A big zoo with plenty of animals. They could improve on their map and may develop a location based audio assist for information about animals to keep the kids/ adults engaged. They could also include an open space to interact with farm animals and kangaroos. Cafeteria could expand on vegetarian/ vegan menus, which is currently very limited.

A memorable day out with the family. The wet morning kept the crowds down, which was nice. As others have said, taking a packed lunch is the way to go and there are so many places to have a picnic. A special mention on the parents rooms, they were outstanding from setup, amenities and child security. 🐘🦓🦒

Plenty to do at Melbourne Zoo. We tried to get to every exhibit and it took us about 4 hours all up. Exhibits are great! Enjoyed the Meerkats, Giraffes and Gorilla Rainforest the best! Elephants were great as well but they are moving to Werribee soon into a much larger facility.
