Had a great one night stay at Amber Lodge. Jo and Frank really have thought of everything! The newly renovated property is super clean, cosy and friendly. Plenty of storage space for bags as you arrive. No problem to change into gear and store bags before check in to get onto the slopes. Storage room for skis at the door and a drying room on the entry level makes it all very seamless. We stayed in a room with bunks that could sleep 5 people and had a ensuite. It was small but very comfortable. Ensuite was clean and had soap provided. We requested linen for $10 per person which was so crisp and clean. The kitchen was well appointed with everything you need; jug, coffee machine, microwave, range and stove top, large fridge, pots, pans, cutlery, crockery, chopping boards etc. Basics in case you didnât bring them such as salt, pepper, sugar, coffee, peanut butter vegemite were on hand if required. Little touches of this kind of thoughtfulness throughout the stay made it welcoming and relaxing. The place was full but there was plenty of space in the communal area either on the lounge, in the reading nook, around the giant table or island bench. The kids enjoyed playing out the front in the snow as we readied to go ski or returned from the village. Thanks Jo and Frank for a great experience! Will be recommending Amber Lodge to all my...

Read moreI was half tempted to not leave a review so we can all keep Amber Lodge a secret but itâs hard not to share something so good.
From the get-go, Jo and Frank welcomed us with open arms; much like staying with family or long lost friends. They helped us with our bags, showed us around the lodge and made our family feel at home. Our room was clean with freshly laundered linen which suited our needs for a warm shower and a good nightâs sleep.
Our family typically spent all day out on the slopes until it was time for dinner. Their well-equipped kitchen was a lifesaver because it meant the kids could eat balanced, nourishing meals after a whole day of energy expansion. The communal style also allowed us to meet other like-minded families while Jo and Frank would join us from time to time to have a chat. Everyone was also always very mindful about keeping quiet past 830pm so I thought that was lovely for the kids who slept early.
The both of them do an immense job upkeeping Amber Lodge to ensure that it is squeaky clean every time of the day. Pretty sure it has to be the cleanest lodge on the mountain! The kids absolutely enjoyed their time here and will not choose any place else when we come back each year for sure. You guys are...
