First time visit to Mt Buller and the price tag to a lot of things is expensive, maybe because many of these businesses operate only operate during 3 months of the year of snowfall. Located upstairs in the Village Square Plaza adjacent to Pat's Italian lies the venue with ample dining. At the time there were 2 items on the menu, $27 cold prawns with chips and slaw, or $25 battered gummy shark, chips, tartare and slaw. I went for the latter and the service was nice. I had my number called out, grab some cutlery from the bucket and your order and sit down to eat. The batter was very blonde, I thought it needed longer to produce that golden brown look but the batter was tasty and a little crunchy encasing tender shark. The chips were good too, a bit more crunchy than the fish but wanted more crunch, soft and fluffy on the inside. I love the tartare sauce and the slaw. A squeeze of lemon enhances the fish. I'd suggest cooking the fish and chips a bit longer for crunch would have significantly improved the taste. Not bad but double the price of your local fish & chip shop but not at the same quality. They were open during the Queen's Birthday weekend but not during the week. The opening times of various places is a little tricky to gauge and like most businesses across the country, getting access to staff is difficult.

Simply one of the best restaurants for a busy tourist spot. Fish 🐟 and chips 🍟 were cooked to perfection, nice and crunchy, and the kids loved it. Pizza 🍕 was amazing, and the standout of all the dish is their Malaysian Laksa. It was top of the world 🌎, hot, spicy, and flavourful. It had everything. Food was a bit pricey, which we could expect in such busy tourist places, but it is worth it.

Hot fish & chips was the perfect lunch to thaw us after all the outdoor snow activities and enjoying the snowfall. Prices are reasonable, portion size is big and service is prompt. Lots of seating available. Its located on the 2nd floor of the village centre building.

A staff didn’t give me a receipt after I paid. She called out to number of the items, so I was not sure if it was mine or not. She came to me and asked for the receipt number like she yelled out and I said I don’t have it but I’ve paid for it. I ordered a family pack. She said she knows that I paid but she kept asking for the receipt then she walked away and called out the receipt number. A minute later she came to me and gave me that order with her lower voice saying that was my order without any sorry or apologies. If my family was not hungry I won’t take it easy. I was so embarrassed by her. Too many people out there. It was my first time as well that someone...
