Made a dinner booking for 7:30pm, arrived to find no available tables. When we informed the waitress that we had a reservation, we were told to “just find a seat anywhere” despite there being no free tables to seat 7 people, the waitress walked away and left us to figure it out ourselves. After another patron kindly gave up his table for us, one of our group had to go in search of menus while the wait staff clearly avoided looking in our direction each time they walked past. We ordered our food and drinks at the bar, where the staff were much friendlier however we were given the wrong drinks numerous times. When I asked for the carbonara, I was told they didn’t have it, but when I returned to my table shortly after, I found 2 other members of my group eating the carbonara that I was told I couldn’t order. We asked the waitress for some extra cheese and salt and pepper, and received a rude “the salt and pepper is over there” in response. The extra cheese was never received and the request wasn’t even acknowledged. The food was bland, parmigiana very over cooked and the meals came out at random times, meaning the first person on the table had finished before the last had even began. Very poor service, would recommend avoiding dining...
Read moreI came to have a couple beers at the Off Piste Bar (in the same general space) because they are apparently the only bar in the entirety of Mt. Buller right now with actual seats at the bar, and to order some food (provided by this restaurant). I saw the terrible reviews (2.8 overall as I write this - terrible service, food takes forever, etc.) I figure if I get there at 6, have a beer and order, how bad can it be? “Oh, we have a couple big groups, so the kitchen isn’t taking orders until 7.” Me - OK, no worries, I’ll have a couple beers. Just let me know if the kitchen is ready earlier. Someone comes by at 6:45 and says they’re ready. I go into the restaurant to order, “Who told you that? It’s 7.” OK - I walk back into the bar; I’ll wait 15 more minutes. Walk back at 7. “Oh, it’s going to be 7:30, mate.” You earned...
Read moreThe restaurant is a nice environment but has the worst service ever!!! No gluten free options on the menu and when I had asked the waitress to ask the chef if he could do a parmigiana without crumbing the chicken, that shook the service even more. I was told "No gluten free options, this is the menu and that is it!!" The only thing on the menu I could get was Chips... plain old boring chips for my romantic night away on the mountain with my partner. On the other hand my partner had a Meatlovers pizza which he rather enjoyed! The bar is so chilled with the best atmosphere. Bar 5 stars restaurant 0. The gentleman at the bar was a lot friendlier with top serve, maybe he should give the waitresses a...
