Fabulous beach for surfing small and medium waves. I've been both to Warrnambool Flume/Surf Beach and Port Fairy East Beach, and Port Fairy takes the medal. The waves are more visible (easier to predict if they can be surfed) even with winds from S/SW, and the ocean is, on average, quieter, thus allowing the paddle to be easier and less tiring. Warrnambool Beach ocean conditions are usually more unstable; waves that seem to be surfa-able but suddenly turn out to not break at all or have three to four waves at once, all of them going in different directions. In contrast, Port Fairy's waves are straight and consistent, facing towards one direction. Ah, and the water is so clean! If the weather is very rainy and windy, seaweed could be brought to the sand and onshore, but not as much as Warrnambool's beach. (Sorry, Warrnambool!)

Scenic Strolls Await at East Beach, Port Fairy. East Beach in Port Fairy is a hidden gem for those seeking a tranquil coastal escape. With its expansive shoreline and picturesque views, it's the perfect spot for a leisurely stroll. The beach offers a serene atmosphere, ideal for unwinding and soaking in the natural beauty of the coastline. Whether you're wandering solo or with loved ones, you're sure to appreciate the calming ambiance and stunning vistas. Overall, East Beach is a must-visit destination for anyone looking to connect with nature and enjoy the simple pleasures of a seaside stroll.
