Alexo Pizza & Bistro — Restaurant in Port Fairy

Went here for early dinner since very close to the hotel we were staying in.

Very welcoming, clean, great staffs, plenty of space. It serves pizza and Indonesian food. Then we saw a robot delivering food, so random but entertaining.

We ordered a medium sized pizza and a pork belly sambal with rice. Also ordered a Moo Brew which we haven’t tried before. The pork belly sambal was generous, well seasoned and the pizza, delicious.

The staffs were very friendly, taking time to check up on us to make sure everything’s ok. The take away pizza seems to be a big hit as the orders and pick ups were coming in steady.

What a wonderful, and surprising, experience. First time in Port Fairy for us, and we didn’t expect to find much of a selection of restaurants for dinner. We chose Alexo as I thought I wanted a pizza and my wife fancied a curry. The owner found us a table even though it was quite full (on a Wednesday evening!). I decided to try to Penang chicken curry and it was possibly the best Thai curry I have ever had! We were absolutely blown away with this treasure and can see why it rates as #1. We expected good from recent reviews, but honestly, it was amazing! Authentic Indonesian dishes and an extensive pizza menu. Great location and atmosphere, cosy spot to dine & friendly staff. The owner Alex strives for customer satisfaction, he's extremely attentive and you can see how much love goes in to his meals.
