This place was really cute. You walk into the bar area, and then there's a lovely little seating area. My partner and I were placed side by side, looking out through a window to another table. It was a bit weird, but I get that there is limited space. My partner ordered the potato pizza. He said it was really good. The flavours and toppings were great. There was a great selection of beer too. Plenty of options. I, on the other hand didn't have a great experience. So it was my fault, but I am vegetarian and didn't know that pancetta was a type of meat, I thought it was cheese. I was going to ask the waitress but got caught up thinking about asking for extras on my pizza and completely forgot. When my pizza came out covered in bacon, I was quite upset. I am not super picky, like I picked it off and still ate the pizza. And like, I couldn't complain or say anything because realisticly it was my fault. So I ate the whole pizza but it was incredibly salty!! I'm not precious with salt, I love salt but man meat is so salty. Anyway, 5 stars would have been given, but I do recommend the restaurant spend a small amount of time to put a simple little (V) next to the vegetarian options. I understand it is a small town, but it would help tremendously with tourists and their different needs. This wasn't a good experience for me simply because I forgot to ask a question, that usually I don't have to ask because the menus spell it out mostly. Other than that, it was still nice and I recommend...
Read moreHad a pizza here at the weekend while staying in Port Fairy on a work trip. Lovely pizzas, base was spot on and quality toppings. Parma ham and buffalo Mozzarella were very good, as was the pepperoni pizza. Large green salad was very nice, could have done with a little oil, but I didnt ask, I'm sure they would have added had I have done so. We had lovely grapefruit drink and a soda water and lime in tall glasses with heaps of ice, really nice. We sat at the bar, it was buzzing and cosy, top notch staff, friendly and warm, made us feel welcome and looked after us. The music was excellent and volume spot on. Open fire was lovely, it was a chilly wet night! All in all a great experience, probably our third or forth time at Coffin Sally Pizza....
Read moreWhat a VIBE! Coffin Sally ticked all the boxes for a full sensory dining experience. The open fire, the decor, the music, drinks, food and the staff! Well done team. So many cosy nooks, from the front bar, to the courtyard and the extra dining room that lead on from it were all very welcoming. Great drinks list, couldn’t resist getting the spicy Marg. The roast Veg pizza made without cheese was ridiculously good, and dare I say the gluten free pizza base was just as good or even better than the gluten one?! Excellent job at selecting quality ingredients and options for all. Can’t wait to stop in again on our next trip...
