Royal Perth Golf Course,
Visited in early March 2019, just about 1 week before COVID19 lockdown. When in Western Australia this is a golf course to visit. Royal Perth Golf Club, its current site in 1908. Royal Perth Golf Club is the oldest golf club in metropolitan Western Australia (WA) and was awarded its Royal Status in 1937. As seen in the pictures the course is always presented in immaculate condition all year round. Tough course with Kikuyu fairways and being an “old style” course, the greens in general are small in size making them elusive targets, especially when the sea breeze sweeps in off the adjacent Swan River. By modern standards Royal Perth is not long measuring just over 6000 metres. Despite this the golf course challenges the very best players with narrow fairways and renowned firm fast greens. Whilst there is little rough on the course there are near on 80 bunkers increasing the degree of difficulty. The staff were fantastic, very helpful in enabling myself to get a game. Absolutely ridiculous place, my in-laws were visiting from Japan and last visited the gift shop were welcomed in.
However this year whilst visiting again we were not welcomed because of dress code, I think it’s absolutely ridiculous to discriminate based on dress code everyone should be allowed for the gift shop, it’s also summer and you cannot expect everyone to dress like high status especially with inflation.
Especially with a small infant people don’t have time to dress up and apply makeup.

WITHOUT PREDJUDICE
If i could give zero stars i would. I'm running an event this coming Thursday and the events team couldn't be less responsive. Trying to call the golf club is just as hard, 80% of the time no one picks up, and when someone does, when you ask for the events team, they are perpetually in a meeting (apparently this meeting lasts for weeks on end).
Would avoid at all costs to run an event here if you want to have any certainty someone will...
