Service: The service at Rambla On Swan was flawless. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and were attentive throughout the entire evening. Our waiter, Jack, was knowledgeable, friendly, and made fantastic recommendations. He took the time to explain the menu in detail and offered suggestions based on our preferences, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. It’s clear that the team here is passionate about providing top-notch service, and their commitment to ensuring a great dining experience really...
Read moreIn a group of 4 I enjoyed a meal at Rambla on Sunday. The service was exemplary: efficient, polite and thoughtful. All of our meals were tasty, quality ingredients and cooked with skill. The wagyu steak was excellent quality and was expertly cooked, medium rare as requested. The wine list is excellent. And Rambla also has a good selection of draft beers.
The outlook is beautiful - recommend to get a table near the windows and sit a while before sunset to watch the light in the sky change from searing azure blue, through the full pallet of pinks, through to night’s indigo. The sky show is free ;-)
The only downside for us, and an area for constructive criticism and improvement, was that the kitchen was unable to offer much from the menu for someone with a prawn allergy. Most items could not be offered due to a shared deep fryer, and they were not, for example, willing to offer a pan fried fish as an alternate. The guest jn question was, in the end, left with only the steak on offer. Which was disappointing. Whilst the staff were very apologetic and could not have been more polite about it, nevertheless this inability to cope with and adapt for a reasonably common allergy was a surprise, especially at this price point. I hope that the management will seek to learn from this experience and improve practices, processes and...
Read moreProbably the worst service we have had in a restaurant for some time. We had to ask for all of our drinks, numerous times, trying unsuccessfully to get someone’s attention to serve us, the service was non-existent. At one stage I had 3 empty glasses in front of me. No-one bothered to clear the table of glasses or food plates we had finished with, we had to ask each time for them to be cleared.
The reason why I chose to bring our staff to this restaurant was from a previous time we had lunch there. That lunch and service was amazing, we could not have been happier. Four out of five of our party even ordered the seafood pasta because we said how amazing it was, we were all disappointed. The pasta was not up to par, it presented as something like 2 minute noodles.
I can’t imagine we would be back as we spent a considerable amount of money and felt embarrassed in front of our staff as normally I choose a restaurant which is really good. Maybe on the day, you were short-staffed or the regular Chef was away, or there may have been other reasons that things just didn’t go to plan. We were in-front of our employees and didn’t want to bring more attention to what was happening as it was meant to be a celebratory end of year lunch which is why we didn’t...
