Read moreI Absolutely Love it here & also at anytime of the day or night, I went there at midnight & the water was Absolutely Wonderfully Warm considering that Summer had just recently finished & that it was midnight but on this occasion I only stayed within the shallow region/area of Back Creek which is just before the big bridge that has been designed for daring people of all ages to jump off of it, there is also 2 smaller jumping bridges for people to jump off of, I haven't jumped off of any of them yet but I must say I do enjoy watching others do the big jump, I've seen so many people game enough to jump the big bridge, you have some- tiny, small, big, scared, brave, daring, backwards, somersault, doubles, triples, groups, so many different kinds to watch, such a enjoyable experience, You can do some great fishing there also or have a BBQ, there's also toilets with a wheelchair accessible toilet also, you can walk to the beach as you can hear and see the beach from Back Creek Bridge as Back Creek Bridge becomes a part of the Beach also & is also tidal like the Beach. So refreshing on a warm day, good for swimming & snorkelling, Kayaks & standup boards are also popular sites on the water. Bring your doggie they will enjoy the water also…. One disappointing issue, the once very popular cafe/restaurant Back Creek Cafe has closed with no signs of opening again. As did the Boat Shed on the River.
