Worst experience ever in South West Rocks due to the appalling attitude of one staff named Ann. I ordered food and asked for a free bottle of water. While I took the chilled water from the fridge and waited for my food, a staff came and told me that her colleague Ann (an Asian woman) said I took a sparkling water and placed it in my handbag. I let her check my bag and table immediately to show that was not true. I then went to Ann and asked her whether she said so. Despite that I had explained what I took (free bottle of water) and got my bag checked, she still insisted that she saw me taking a sparkling water. I asked her how she could see something that did not happen, she started to yell at me and ask me to leave “if I don’t want to eat here”. I asked her to apologise. She said “I apologise” but refused to state what she was apologising for. She just said: I have no time to argue with you, although she is the one who caused the issue. The food tasted awful and the cutlery was dirty. Nobody tried to stop Ann from being rude to a customer. No management was present. Appalling experience. Please avoid this cafe when you are in South West Rocks.
IN ADDITION, the rice is undercooked. The bottom of the rice was hard and raw. I understood that we had half eaten the rice. However it’s only after we reached the bottom to find it’s uncooked. I talked to the chef (unfortunately it’s Ann again). She said she couldn’t get the uncooked rice refunded for tonight. So I had to pay for the rice that was inedible. This add to the reason why people should...
Read moreEarly November visited this area with lots of extended family. Found Sixty Degrees for my morning Iced Cofee - what a treat that was - great flavour and price. Our nephew, who lives locally, invited us all (14 adults) to attend a Thai resturant for dinner. The great surprise was it was at Sixty Degrees. The food offered was a small but beaut selection of three courses, all meals were tasty, fresh and very generous in size. Coconut Prawns & Curry Puffs were $7.50 each serve, Sweet & Sour Chicken (more than big enough for two) $25, & Fried Rice with fresh vegetables $14 - we really could have split all this food between 3! SIL & BIL had the Thai Beef Salad which looked and I'm told tasted delish. Didn't expect my fav coffee/breakfast place to turn into a yummy Thai at night. Outside seating, BYO no corkage, Were open Thurs to Saturday 5pm till 8:30ish but maybe more than that now. Thanks to Elle for the great service. If you're at South West Rocks do yourself a favour for breakfast,...
Read moreI submit this to give honest feedback, not criticise. The takeaway coffee is very poor quality. I’m sure this venue can do much better but the coffee was weak (the pour should be 25-30 seconds, only) too hot, bitter (sign machine hasn’t been cleaned, it needs to be daily or more frequently, or the heads or wand not wiped after every use) and the beans, either old, or not stored correctly. It just didn’t taste like coffee. There is much room for improvement and if this doesn’t happen, a true barista will come and dominate your market. This can be fixed by looking at the above and if not resolved, change your...
