We were greeted with a lovely location and relatively nice decor. We ordered, and everything was going well however such was to our dismal. We waited 30 min for our order of 3 burgers and chips. This would of been understandable and not an issue however there were only 3 other customers and the staff were extremely slow paced. We had never seen such low effort and slow paced workers. This could easily be fixed with staff and efficiency training. Finally, we received our order however our chips were forgotten and I had to remind them. Surely, if an order is to take 30 min to be prepared we expected that everything were to be included. An additional comment I would like to add is that tomato sauce was an extra $1, for a tiny tub. We were extremely unimpressed of this money making mechanism. Now, onto the food part. Despite the preexisting slow paced effort of the staff and hefty sauce price, I was willing to push that aside if the food was relatively nice. However that was not the case. I would like to word this nicely, however it was essentially the worst take away burger and chips we have had in our 30 years of living. The patty was dry and resembled a sausage, whilst the chips were soggy and unseasoned. This list can continue. Whilst this may be a harsh review, the believe that taking my constructive criticism and retraining staff and altering your menu and cooking methods, could improve your venue to a...

Came here after a day on the beach, the food was average, served nice and hot. The only real downside is that there was 5 people working but apparently only one person cooking. We appreciated that we had arrived at a semi busy time and were willing to wait, but not 45 minutes for a single regular fish and chips. The one cooking ( what we over heard was the owner) didn’t really seem in a rush and was happily oblivious to the stack of dockets waiting behind. Maybe some of the staff that were standing staring at us could have been slinging hot chips in the fryer ( which were frozen taking the oil temperature down to a non cooking level slowing the process even further) freeing up the one other person to actually push some food through. With my 4 years of kitchen work I think I have never seen such a confused kitchen. To make the matters worse we were here on a warm ish 28° day and our fish was sat in the side waiting to be cooked, the new guy tried to help by putting baking paper over then but that’s still not very hygienic in the slightest. Definitely need a real chef or someone with actual kitchen experience to come and sort out the shambles that is south west...

Have been here three times now before writing this review, so can be sure the experience is not a fluke.

All three times have had unbelievably long wait times (over an hour is NOT an exaggeration). Wouldn’t be as much of an issue if staff communicated this with you before you ordered and paid - they don’t. So if you don’t have time to wait, oh well too bad you’ve already paid.

Staff are also generally rude. Any questions eg “what size chips come with that deal please” is met with eye rolls and scoffs and then mumbling under their breath. Right off the bat serving staff won’t even acknowledge when greeted with a smile and “hi how are you?” Just stared me down and frowned til I started giving my order instead.

The food itself was average in quality but cheaper than most take away shops these days.

Won’t ever go back. Would be genuinely faster to go away to Coles, buy frozen food, cook it yourself, and still have half an...

This was seriously THE BEST PIECE OF SNAPPER I can remember ever eating from a fish and chip shop. It was obviously fresh, and the oh-so-tasty lemony, thin, CRISP batter was sensational. The snapper was thick, moist and perfectly cooked. The potato scallop was encased in the same batter minus the lemony bits and the potato was moist and tasty. Obviously in house made. The calamari rings were thick and crumbed but I think had come out of the freezer and into the oil. The price for this quality was insanely great value and even if it had been the normal frozen fare would've still been cheap for a piece of fish these days. Service was friendly, and the time taken acceptable for this quality.

Always a friendly food shop with a great view of the ocean. Some of the food is home made eg Prawn cutlets and potato scallops. Good range of milkshake favours but beware if you order at the same time as your food ask them not to make it straight away as they make them first and put in fridge so they go flat easily. They sometimes bring to your table depends how busy. The tables are out on the street in the fresh air and they will supply knives & forks to eat your meal. Always found them accommodating and helpful so hope they retain those qualities with any new staff.

Don’t wait until you’re hungry to order your food. They cook each order individually in their basic home kitchen size fryers so you end up waiting forever, even for just something small. A lot of workers stand around just waiting whilst the queue of orders waiting to be cooked just grows and grows. They have the advantage of being the only fish & chip take away shop down by the main beach so they clearly don’t even care how long it takes. If only they could see the value in upgrading their fryers to pump out more orders at once.
