Firstly, the staff here are very friendly and helpful, that’s where the good points end. We tried to eat in here on a busy public holiday evening but just couldn’t deal with the noise. There was just no way to have a conversation and was difficult to order. By the time the entree arrived, the noise combined with the short soup that was thickened and tasted like over salted beef gravy sent out out the door and asking for the rest as a takeaway. This was our next mistake, while the time it took was acceptable for a busy evening, the food was frankly appalling. The special fried rice as ok at best, as was the honey chicken, the Mongolian Lamb was more like a watery gravy with a bit of cracked pepper in it, didn’t even taste Asian. The salt and pepper squid was chewy battered squid and not remotely like any salt and pepper squid I’ve ever had before. Overall they had plenty of meat in the dishes but of very low quality and far to much fat and gristle. How this place has such a high rating is beyond me, I would not recommend and will most certainly not be back. Complete waste of money.

I was torn between 3 and 4 stars. The combination chow mein was excellent. Old school with a great balance of veggies and meats, with traditional chow mein sauce and jammed packed into a takeaway container with crispy noodles in a bag. The special fried rice had the flavour of a great fried rice, just had very little of anything else except rice. I think we got the last of a fill wok of fried rice and all the bits except the rice was left and it was oily. So 4 for the chow mein and a 2 for the rice, but it's hard to judge on only 2 dishes so a 4 for the chow mein wins. The picot the fried rice shows the bit of chicken and the prawn that were in the whole fried rice container. We had our food in 10 minutes and the staff were very friendly.

We stayed very close by and have tried a number of places nearby and this place is a gem. We hadn’t had Chinese food for a very long time and were very happy with our choices. After having prawn crackers and some lovely mini spring rolls, the Combination Garlic Seafood was my choice and bride had the Chow Mein. It was wonderful. For dessert, we had caramel fried ice cream. The service was great and they had a constant stream of local customers.

I initially had low expectations for this venue from growing up in small country towns consuming bad westernised Chinese/cantonese food, this place exceeded my low expectations by being the worst!! The Mongolian noodles were undercooked or really old that they had dried out. It looked like they filled the container with these poorly cooked/old noodles with some jar sauce tipped on top. Zero wok work done here and I would give it a zero if I could. The cooks didn’t even care enough to mix the sauce into the noodles. The honey chicken was soggy and reminiscent of some frozen par cooked honey chicken you would buy at Woolies. Sweet and sour pork was a similar experience to the honey chicken even though the sauce was kept separate of which it contained 2-3 chunks of cucumber and a couple of pieces of pineapple. The fried rice was the best of these options though that’s not to say it was good at all, more like a collection of old ingredients the kitchen was trying to get rid of.

After spending over $100 on food, this was a huge disappointment.

Normally I don’t like leaving negative reviews though I sincerely hope this inspires the business owners...
