How many parks do you know of: are about a square kilometre in size; contain 2 theatres; an adventure playground; a babbling 'brook'; and a barbecue (with covered seating for kids' parties) etcetera???
Yet, the gardens don't seem to be overly occupied during the colder months. They do seem to get busier when the warmer months bring out the picnic rugs and hampers, or when there are events taking place at the dramatic theatres.
I've been bringing my teenage children here from the time when they once needed prams to get here!! In those days, the 'Big hit' was the Adventure Playground. It has certainly changed over the years. It is now much more eco-friendly and creative for children.
