Imagine driving specifically to eat their beef brisket burger, like I have today. I haven't been for a bit, have typically had fair enough service, but today, left me mad and embarrassed the entirety of my time there. I order the beef brisket burger, and on the menu I see, RIGHT UNDER the burger title "upgrade" listing onion rings, waffle fries, chilli cheese fries. With to the right of the burger title "includes side of fries". Im like sweet, I wouldn't mind adding some onion rings to my burger, I imagine a few rings for $3, yeh cool. I go to table, they bring my food and I have a burger with no fries, and just onion rings. I say, where are the chips, he says the upgrade is in lieu of the fries. Im like ahhhhh what, no, didn't realise that. Im thinking, I drove here specifically for burger and chips, and the onion rings were just a sneaky 'why not' quick add. I go up to the front to order some chips, realise there's no side option, only a big bowl option, I've already paid 30 bucks for a burger and rings apparently, and now they want another $12 for fries. I say is there not another option, he goes and gets his manager (i am super respectful in all of this mind you). Manager comes out and explains again the menu and that the $3 is in lieu, I say yes I understand that now, however it can easily be seen how I have interpreted it, she said yes its happened a few times previously but there is nothing she can do. And says it would be financially not feasible to offer onion rings for $3, patronising me, like i expected a full serve of onion rings for $3, but instead a few! Which doesn't sound that unreasonable at all. I felt so embarrassed having to have this conversation in front of the kitchen, other customers that I just wanted it quickly resolved, especially given my food was now on table and going cold. She said "TYPICALLY" i say at time of ordering that its 'instead of', I said I don't remember that, and said because if she did, I wouldn't have got the onion rings at all. So to get the embarrassment over I pay the $12. My $42 meal did taste good, I ensured I ate ALL given the money, but did notice the beef brisket portion to potentially be smaller than what I've had in the past. I don't know if I'd be going back when I can go to sneaky baron for the same burger. Her attitude alone, lack of solution to support something she even said has happened several times before. I said, the menu should be...

QR code ordering has to die. When you need to change an order, advise of allergies… you have to hunt down someone after the order to change it…with an obligatory eye-roll from your staff.
The staff are ambivalent to your needs, and unwilling to assist unless your request has been done ‘through the QR code’ … seriously $2 for extra tomato sauce?
We ordered the meat platter for two (2 adults, 2 kids) plus a kids chook burger.
The brisket was terrible
Dry and cold by the time it had gotten to our table, smothered in a commercially available BBQ sauce to hide its quality and after one slice, I wasn’t going back to it. What it lacks in true characteristics of Texas BBQ (which is so non existent on the Sunshine Coast) it also lacks in flavour. Horribly unseasoned bark and really tasted like it was cooked elsewhere and shipped in pre-sliced.
DO NOT advertise brisket to be Wagyu when you know it’s not. The nature of the cut means it’s a naturally fatty cut, so why lie?
Pork medallions were OK. Dry as well. Pre cooked, vacuum sealed and water bath re-heated standard affair.
Chicken wings were cooked from frozen, commercial grade, industrially available quantity food, You could taste it.
Sausage was good.
The highlight was the mac&cheese. Hot, gooey and delicious. Great to see something cooked onsite.
Chook burgers were gross. Again… the chicken was your standard commercial quantity schnitzel, precooked and heated in-house. The crumb is gluey and slimy.
Waffle fries were fine. We’ll seasoned.
So… of the ~$250 (including drinks) we spent for a family of 4 we liked the sausage sides the most.
Keep at it guys. I see where you’re trying to go, but the quality of your food...
Read moreWas looking forward to a night out with friends and family for a birthday to catch up. We booked ahead for a table of 10. When we got there, they had given our table away and then placed us outside. They told us when a table came free to move us back inside. They were apologetic about it but that’s where it started. We finally got moved back inside after 30 minutes and ordered our food and drinks. We asked what the wait time was and it was 30 minutes at the most . 40 minutes went by and we asked the bar staff where the drinks were. They told us they were in the system getting processed. Another 25 minutes went by and we asked where our meals were and our drinks and four burgers finally came out with drinks. We informed the staff that there was more food and drinks to come. They said five minutes and it will be all out so we waited about 25 minutes, got no response out of them so then they told us another five minutes it will be all out so we waited another 40 minutes. Then our meals came out they apologised and said drinks are on the house. So we ate our meals and got to about 10 o’clock and they started to close the bar and we couldn’t use the voucher that they offered us. So we waited two hours for food to come out. End of the day everyone screws up just be honest with customers and tell them the truth that you screwed up not just keep hiding and lying. And honour your word that you’re gonna give out couple of free drinks or meals to say sorry for a screw...
