I recently dined here and walked away with mixed feelings about the overall experience. While the food was acceptable, the exceptional service was overshadowed by a troubling observation: the mistreatment of employees/customers by the managers.
Upon arriving, I was promptly informed by the manager that the restaurant had a no-shoes, no-service policy. I completely understand and respect such a policy, as it's crucial to maintain a certain level of cleanliness and hygiene within a dining establishment. However, it was the manager's demeanor and approach that left a sour taste in my mouth.
Rather than politely explaining the dress code, the manager's response was unnecessarily harsh. They seemed disinterested in providing any assistance and instead exhibited an unwelcoming attitude. This abrupt and discourteous interaction was a stark contrast to the level of service that I expect from a dining establishment, especially from a manager.
Upon returning to the restaurant (with my shoes on), my hope was to have a more pleasant dining experience than before. However, it quickly became evident that issues with management persisted. To my dismay, I observed another manager berating and appearing to mistreat more than one waitress in the back of the establishment. The sight of this behavior was not only disturbing but also deeply troubling, as it demonstrated a pattern of mistreatment towards the staff.
The continuous incidents of managers being rude to the staff cast a dark shadow over the entire dining experience. Such behavior creates an uncomfortable and unwelcoming atmosphere for both diners and employees alike. It is disheartening to see such a lack of professionalism and empathy from those in positions of authority within...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recently attended a family gathering at for my partnerās milestone birthday, and unfortunately, the experience did not meet expectations. The entire family had traveled to be there, and we had specifically chosen this restaurant months in advance for its renowned ocean view and ambiance. We even made our reservation two months ahead of time, specifically requesting a table with an ocean view, only to be seated at a table at the back of the restaurant, far from the view we were promised.
To add to our disappointment, we brought our own cake to celebrate the occasion and were charged a $50 cakeage fee. While I understand that some restaurants charge for this service, I expected the fee to reflect a higher level of service. Instead, when it was time to bring out the cake, the waitress arrived with the cake still in its box, the candles were left in the packet, and she handed us a lighter to light them ourselves. I had previously communicated my request to have the cake brought out on a plate with the candles already lit, but that clearly wasnāt taken into consideration.
Naturally, I was quite frustrated and repeatedly asked what the $50 cakeage fee covered, only to be left with the impression that it was simply for walking the cake 20 meters from the kitchen to our table. Ultimately, we ate the cake straight from the box, which was not the experience we had hoped for, especially considering the special occasion.
Overall, the experience fell short of expectations, and Iām left feeling disappointed after what was supposed to be a memorable celebration. I hope the restaurant can take this feedback into account for...
