A perfect way to spend a Sunday out and about exploring Sydney behind a camera lens, viewing it in different angles with the great help from Sarah.
I have always wanted to do a short course in photography and thought starting from the bottom in a beginners class was the best way to go about it. I have researched and have come across Sarah Jenkins from Signature Photography, whom has many excellent reviews and choose to spend the day to get first hand experience to understand how my DSLR Nikon camera works.
Boy did I learn a lot thanks to Sarah’s detailed explanations and demonstrations thought out the day. It was a full on day where we just took photos after photos, twicking with the camera settings each time to get that perfect professional photo look. We started off at Chinese Gardens in the heart of Darling Harbour where we sat in our small group and Sarah explained the ins and out about the different camera techniques then out on foot around the gardens to practice. Followed by a quick ferry ride to Cockatoo Island to practice even more different angles; such as capturing moving objects and portrait images focusing on specific features etc. There was plenty opportunity to be creative with settings, angle & colour settings. I would say going to Cockatoo Island was my highlight of the day. Finally finished up with more photo opportunity at The Rocks.
Sarah was amazing as she is fantastic at what she does! She’s is very professional and knowledgeable about photography and also very patient with everyone in the group. She gave you honest feedback and explained how you could improve on the image. Sarah made everything seem easy to understand by creating a fun and informative environment where I thought it would way more complicated then what it seemed.
For anyone who needs/wants first hand experience in photographer I would highly recommend this course (1 day - Essentials Photography Course for Beginner Photographers) to anyone and Sarah without a hesitation. Now that I have the basic understanding of photography I am now able to be more confident with adjusting my settings around rather then guessing to get that perfect shot.
I thank you Sarah so so much for a wonderful and knowledgeable day and I look forward to seeing you at the Digital Photography Course -...
Read moreI have been wanting to take up photography for many years and after a trip to South America I decided to get my self a new DSLR camera and do a short course and while doing some internet research I came accros Sarah Jenkins from Signature Photography.
Sarah did a fantastic job! She’s is very professional and knowledgeable about photography and also very patient, I through myself at the very deep end of photographic equipment (Nikon D850) but she made everything easy to understand by creating a fun and informative environment where she was able run through all the technical aspects of the camera and propose a plan for what we were going to be shooting that day.
We would usually meet in Rushcutters Bay and then drive to some of the major Sydney landmarks like Bondi Beach, Vaucluse House, The Rocks to name a few, from camera settings to composing the shots and using different lenses she had suggestions, tips and advice that will help me for years to come, the course met my expectations and more. I would highly recommend this course and Sarah without hesitation. I opted for private one on one tuition but she also offers group classes, however you choose to do it you will not be disappointed.
Now I’m off to my next adventure, thank you Sarah and I look forward to showing you my pictures when I get...
Read moreI attended 3 x Signature Photography Courses (1 Day Essentials, Editing in Lightroom, The Next Step) and gained a much better understanding on how to use my DSLR camera to take photos in different situations including: low light, movement and portraits, as well as learning how to edit photos in Lightroom.
Sarah has great attention to detail from showing you how to capture a good photo to looking after your camera lens.
She explains the theory behind aperture, shutter speed and ISO, as well as giving important tips about light, composition and using different angles.
After you take a photo Sarah will give you feedback which is important for a beginner like myself trying to improve.
The tours are fun too as SignaturePhoto Photography Courses take you to slightly off the beaten track destinations that even a local like me has never visited before.
Sarah is a good teacher who explains things in easy to understand language. You will definitely learn how to take better pictures by completing one of SignaturePhotos Photography courses, while having fun at the same time exploring our beautiful city.
I will attend another one of SignaturePhotos Photography courses in the future, for another chance to learn and improve my photography skills off this award winning...
