Monkey King Thai - Rose Bay — Restaurant in Sydney

It's a rip-off! I ordered take away Green curry chicken. Paid $16.90 and got a small container which wasn't even full. When I opened the container - there was a lot of sauce but hardly anything else. Three quarters of the container were filled with very watery sauce and there were just about 3 or 4 tiny pieces of chicken with very few small pieces of veggies. To add to our disappointment - the sauce was very watery and lacking flavour and spices. We used to order from this place when it was called Thai Cereal very often. They used to cook tasty food and they were cheaper too. Under the new name the food quality has gone down but the prices have gone up! There are several good Thai food restaurants in Rose Bay but Monkey King Thai is clearly not one of them. It's highly disappointing to say the least as they are the closest to my home. I have been ordering from Monkey King Thai in Rose Bay for the past year and half and they have always been exceptional. However on the 9th of August I had an issue with my order and I called the restaurant to express my frustration not really expecting anything I was just upset but the lady who answered by call was extremely apologetic and offered to bring me another meal instead. After about 20min she knocked on my door. It’s really rare nowadays to receive such customer service, it just shows how much she cares for her business and customers. I came here on a recommendation from a friend and it had a high google rating. We ordered the duck pancakes the duck was cold like it had been taken out of the fridge. We also ordered the steam barramundi which was lovely and the massaman lamb chops, the garlic lamb chops arrived instead. When the massaman chops eventually arrived the lamb chops were underdone very rare chops. The sauce was lovely the chops just needed to be cooked more.
