This leads to a beautiful park overlooking the water. The playground has a lot natural shade and brilliant imaginative playground equipment. There’s plenty of tables/chairs facilities for people wanting to have a picnic but also you can just pick a spot and sit on the grass. There’s a lot of wildlife like ducks 🦆 and so on. If you wanted, you can also eat at the cafes located around for example the Tramshed Cafe. BBQ facilities are also available but are first come, first served and are popular on weekends and holidays. There’s plenty of parking 🅿️ available but this could fill up quickly especially on the weekends and during school holidays. From Monday to Friday, it’s a 3 hour limit and on Saturday it’s 2 hours. It’s a popular spot for people who canoe 🛶, we saw a few of them. It’s wonderful for splashing in the lake front. There’s a wonderful pram friendly and wheelchair 🦽 friendly walk around the lake. Very accessible. There’s a monthly market held in the Reserve on the 3rd Sunday of each month from 9.00am until 3.00pm. There’s good toilet 🚻 facilities available, including disabled toilets.
