Deep in leafy, well-heeled Vaucluse, Parsley Bay is a narrow Sydney Harbour inlet surrounded by caves, rock overhangs and dense native vegetation. Since 1906 it’s been officially reserved for the enjoyment of the public, with the cable suspension bridge added in 1910 and the current kiosk built in 1929. It’s a fantastic swimming spot, with a path along one edge from shore to shark net, that has a fancy wooden-stepped ladder halfway along and ramp access at the far end. These enable you to enter the bay where the water is cleanest, clearest and deepest, away from the leaf litter and debris that hugs the shore. And its so clear out there! You can see every detail on the sea floor and the fishes that seem to like to follow you. There’s great entertainment to be had in watching the local kids (illegally) jumping from the bridge, while large family groups hold picnics and parties in the beachside parklands. The kiosk is very eastern suburbs, serving some far fancier fare alongside the usual bacon and egg rolls. Parking is limited in the little parking area so we chose a nearby street near one of the paths that lead you here. Just cruise around the perimeter to find the blue signs. This is a good one and we’ll probably return, next time with snorkeling gear and inflatables.

Love it here. Shady, calm harbour beach with a great party area for the children and a kiosk with everything you need for a day at the beach (including a good ice cream selection). A netted swim area and you can access from the beach of via the steps on the right at the far end. A lovely area to explore at the back beyond the car park with exposed rock and undergrowth. The bridge is stunning and in 15 minutes you can be at Watson's for fish and chips.

One of my favourite beaches ⛱️ my parents took us kids here a lot 😍 still remember the fun times. I went swimming 🏊‍♂️ parsley Bay beach is a family friendly beach ⛱️ your children will love it 😀 here, there is a great playground and a cafe. I saw large water lizards. The bridge 🌉 is beautiful. Well worth bringing your family here. There is no parking available due to maintenance work going on at moment and the carpark is closed

Love coming here with my family. There is a few spots to park your car and it usually does fill up quick. There is gates also that advise that it gets locked at 6pm or 8pm on daylight savings days. Th ere is public toilets That include showers, tho only option is cold water. The toilets seemed dirty and needing attention to be cleaned up and the sanitizer bins needing to be emptied. There is a lovely new playground that's been updated. So many options for the kids to play with. Close to the playground is a family run cafe. They have good coffee here. I haven't bought anything to eat as I brang my own food already. Then a 2 min walk down to the beach, it's very shallow and safe for the kids to play in. It does seem a little dirty as the water is not clear and has dark blackish sand. There is a bridge that goes over the beach, and u have great views. Highly recommend walking over it. All in all I did seem to complain alot, but overall I highly recommend this place and will...

Looks like the place is full of thieves. My husband literally went away for 30 seconds keeping our new Beach shade worth $250 on the footpath just 25mtrs away and it was gone !! It was supposed to be our first day of use. Tried finding so much around but Cudnt locate thief. Haven't experienced dis anywhere in Australia. Somehow that place felt very spooky to me, wasn't getting good vibes at all. Enclosed kinda feel, blackish dirty backwaters, not so great garden or beach, parking issues. The only good things were playground, washrooms and...
