NOTE: KITCHEN CLOSES AT 2PM, despite 5pm close. Great little local bakery/cafe eatery, located right next to the park and positioned to get gorgeous afternoon sun during winter. STAFF: 10/10. Excited to eat here after our morning walk, they only had 1 item I could actually eat, which was gluten free: a slice of cake. The staff were really kind, apologetic and lovely about this though. We'd called ahead, however to date haven't been able to get through to the head office, hence all caps 2pm close. So many people were, like us, suprised and disappointed. 7 other people in line also thought the kitchen would still be open at 2:30pm. FOOD: Great choice of vegetation and some gluten free options (only sweets, after 2pm and prior, they have salads and if you get here early enough, they have gf bread) ACCESSIBILITY+LOCATION: Positioned 1 minute walk from the sports field, great to grab a take away bite for when the kids are playing. Wheelchair, walker and, pram friendly with some outdoor seating also making this good for those with dogs. Larger tables would easily fit 10+ people TOILETS: 1 available is often occupied, however public toilets in park located a minute away. OVERALL: Would recommend, especially if you can eat dairy, meat and gluten.

Coffee - 1 out of 5, similar to an automatic bean to cup machine at home. No baristas taking care of your coffee - beans seem subpar generic supermarket. Flat white like a latte. Service - 1 out of 5, if you want to queue on Saturday mornings for 15 - 20 mins, go to this place. If you want forgotten orders go to this place. Sausage roll - my son doesn't like it, doesn't eat the meat, just eats the crust - probably poor quality meat, he said it was chewy and squishy - 9 dollars eqch Croissant - not authentic french. Only good thing is if it is hot/ warm - then it will be like a microwaved supermarket croissant, not puffy or crunchy Unfortunately this is the only coffee shop I can see close to the field. Wish there were others alternatives.

Just placed my order @ TGB in Vaclouse. I hadn’t visited in three weeks and ordered an iced black coffee (American order lol woops). Karina kindly reminded me that it was a iced long black then said “are you sure you don’t want decaf or anything else?” “You remembered me!” I gleefully replied with the cheesiest smile hidden behind my mask. “Yes yes, decaf please!” And explained why I was mentally foggy. She was so kind and honestly— truly consistent with her stellar customer service. It’s always nice running into her and I look forward to seeing her and some of the other great staff on my normal 3x’s a week visits. Thanks Karina!

When I glanced reviews, I noticed someone mentioning that their mug wasn't clean. Surely, that must have been a fluke, so I thought, but no; my coffee also came in a dirty mug. White lip-print like smudges had came off easily enough, so pretty gross to find that.

When we arrived, our only indoor options seemed some table in the back. It wasn't cleaned. When I saw a girl taking plates and cups from a different table she also did not whipe the table. The only table I saw her whipe was the one out front at the entrance.

Another girl who worked there came to have her lunch break in the back. She asked if she could sit there (table next to us), and obviously I said "sure". Next minute she is eating her burger with a smacking of lips I still cannot wrap my brain around. This was not the occasional smack: this was a loud articulated smack for every chew. Like, who eats like that?? That's not even a matter of decent service manners; that's plain manners, period. Was she not raised by a mother? Because no mother on earth with let such behavior slide with her children. After a few minutes of this we moved tables.

The coffee was decent, despite being served in a dirty mug. (Oh and keep in mind; you have to order at the register here, so be prepared to wait in line to actually order) The bacon and egg roll was generic. Especially the bun was extremely uninspired (for a 'bakery" I would expect a touch more... this bun was no better then what you'd get at the cheapest cafe). Overall very disappointing. Will not be going back, so...

Half loaf missing due to an air pocket! I bought a $9 sourdough soy linseed loaf on Saturday morning as I often do on weekends. I like my loaf sliced, and often return1-2hrs after a walk when the bread is cool enough for staff to agree to slice it. When I bought my loaf on Saturday, I discovered half the loaf was missing due to an air pocket. I took back what was left that afternoon (approximately 1/2 loaf after my family ate what they wanted for lunch). I was offered a replacement loaf but no slicing available so we agreed I could pick up a fresh loaf on Sunday. I went to get the loaf at the agreed time of 10am Sunday but told (once again!), loaf too hot to slice so come back in the afternoon to pick up a sliced loaf. Just picked up my loaf, they gave me only 1/2 loaf sliced bread back + 'old loaf' from yesterday (yes, the wrote old on it!)- what a joke! I'm grumpy to say the least! Very poor service and despite the bread being good I'll avoid getting anything from...
