Our experience at Taronga Park Zoo's "Roar & Snore" package was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment we arrived on Saturday, March 9th, to our departure on Sunday, March 10th, every detail was meticulously planned and executed, making it an unforgettable way to celebrate my 60th birthday.

The first evening activities, including the twilight safari and nocturnal animal encounters, were entertaining and educational, making for a truly enriching experience.

The overnight stay in the tents was an absolute delight. We felt completely immersed in the wildlife experience, with the sounds of animals providing a soothing backdrop to our evening. The tents were cozy and comfortable, and the view over Sydney Harbour was just spectacular.

The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the zoo after hours. Getting up close and personal with some of the zoo's most fascinating inhabitants, including meeting the majestic giraffes and our time inside (yes inside!) the lion enclosure, was an experience I'll cherish forever.

The knowledgeable keepers & guides provided fascinating insights into the zoo's conservation efforts and animal care practices, adding depth to our appreciation of the incredible work being done at Taronga Park. Their passion for wildlife conservation was palpable, and their enthusiasm added an extra layer of magic to the entire experience.

In conclusion, Taronga Park Zoo's "Roar & Snore" package exceeded all our expectations and provided a truly memorable way to celebrate my birthday. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and immersive wildlife experience. Thank you to everyone at Taronga Park Zoo for an...

We got ferry circ Quay to taronga wharf bussed to main entrance easy as. we had a brief talk and met our first reptile friends Mr 10 very excited! Bags were taken down to tents had canapés and drinks. The night safari talks and experience the team were amazing! minor downside it wasn't an adults night booking it was general I heard from previous people who have attended there's food for kids. We went to the view restaurant food awesome for adults but for kids not so much. I spoke to a family at next table they agreed there kids didn't eat food either it was a new menu trial so whether or not this made a diff. my 10yo didn't like anything on offer he took our small x3 brownie pieces offered for table as desert I asked if we could have more as he was hungry she said no.Gut instinct was to take some snacks for him wish I had. Other than this the keepers shone 10/10 the toilets, showers really clean and modern waz and Tara did a zoo interview with my child for school project. We wish Tara (hope I had her name right) all the best for her zoo qualification she was magic! Can't wait to go back for their new reptile enclosure...

Roar & Snore - what an experience .... would totally recommend this, yes a bit pricey but its not like you are going to do it every week! When you see what happens behind the scenes of this incredible place and the passion the keepers have for these animals it is absolutely worth every penny. Everyone is so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Our guides (lead by Tess - Friday 31/1/2020) showed so much love and pride when taking us on our tours, like they were showing and speaking about a part of their own family members. For them to allow a surprise private little tour of the elephants for my partner who is going though another round of sickness was a dream come true for him. It has been the only thing he has had on his bucket list and hasn't stopped talking about it and never will i think. Thank you all soooooo very much :), we will and already have told most of our family and friends to at least look into the...

Be prepared if you have an animal view room to have idiots shouting out to the koala bears all the time trying to get them to wake up. If you are on the ground floor it feels a bit claustrophobic. I was expecting this experience to be a small guest house type arrangement but there are 67 rooms so it's a pretty large hotel. I found the place pretty uninspiring to be honest. It's a huge amount of money that you are donating to the upkeep of the animals which is very valiant - but if you can't really afford it, as I can't - then don't bother. It's not worth it. If you are a rich cat flying in from overseas to experience Australian wildlife then go for it. For me though, a huge expense and only disappointment for it. Room 333 on 2 April, 2024
